Hi all!, I just found this website & all I can say is "incredible!". Thank you Stu Mlot for putting my memories in front of me to see again. The Forest Road teacher and class pictures are priceless and amazing! The pictures from the reunion are wonderful. I never realized how much I miss all of you, especially so many of my once close friends. I don't think I've ever had better friends than my friend from South, like Rich Steindam, Larry Fink, Mark Coron, Chuck Hausner, Bob Oro, and so many others throughout the years ( including the "Forest Rd. Gang" : Gary Alweiss, Jeff Schlanger, Larry Lack...remember there was a time we were friends before you hated me, like when we all watched the '64 World Series on your "rare" living room Color TV!). The girls..wow...you all look great! I am blown away with the life achievements of so many of you, and what wonderful, high-quality adults you became. I lost a first cousin on 911, and I knew about Jeff Goldflam (my neighbor)too. I didn't think going to the reunion was a good idea at that time....... boy was I wrong! Lew, I am terribly sorry for my stupid harsh words to you about the reunion. You obviously had a great time, and with so many attending...well I feel awful that I missed out on all the fun. I was very sorry to miss the reunion. Lew managed to find my mother who still lives in Valley Stream. She never told me about the reunion. I is wonderful to see the photos of some of the people I knew so many years. My first thought is how young I look (just kidding-its only in my own head). My wife and I lived for one year in England and eight years in South Africa. We then settled in Hershey, Pennsylvania where I am a physician. My Wife Juanita and I have one 14 year old son (David). You know how your parents say "I hope you have a child just like you"? Well I am getting just what was coming to me. Hershey is a great place to live. If any of you get to this area call me(717 566-3977). I was very sad to see that 14 of our classmates had died. I cannot help but think back about them, and think of what their deaths meant to their families. Once again, I would love to see any of you that come to this area. It is amazing that it could be so good to see so many people even if it was for such a limited time. Just the pleasure of recognizing a face, or being recognized was a wonderful jolt! Had some great conversations with folks. It is great to see the interesting and different paths that we all have taken. This was a special evening that most of us will never forget for many years to come. The best part was recalling childhood memories and the worst part was not having time to recall them with each and every one of you. Don't think I'll soon forget the man in the bathroom watching Jayne Ungar Laytin and I putting on lipstick and later informing us that we were 'not' in the ladies room. hi, it's lew weinstein. i just checked this site and had two reactions:
1. i'm glad that so many people have visited the site already. i had a great time at the reunion, and i am really enjoying seeing the photos and reading the comments.
2. it's sometimes hard to know simply by reading a posted comment (or e-mail) whether it was supposed to be funny or serious, but just for the record: jon kassak was joking with you (and giving me a hard time) when he made his comments on this message board about not being allowed to join us at the reunion. he is, as many of you either know or might have guessed, the brother of our classmate amy kassak bentley; he is also a good friend of mine, and he unfortunately has the same dry sense of humor i do. as it happens, we tried hard to get him to come on october 27 (not hard enough to reduce the price for him, in spite of his entertainment value, but reasonably hard; we would have needed all four kassak kids before we considered giving them a volume discount). we also made it clear to everyone else who asked that we would be delighted to see any siblings or friends who wanted to join us. thanks, jon...

I'm not sure what you're planning to do with these photos, so maybe I shouldn't tell you this... but if you click on the thumbnail and go to the enlarged picture, you can then right-click on the photo and choose "save as picture" from the menu that pops up, to save the file on your PC. I was surfing the interent and what did I find - your site! You have one of the best sites (next to Mircosoft, of course) on the Internet! I am sorry I could not get to the reunion. I am from the illustrious "Class of 1970" (now that was a class, not that yours, was not). I tried and tried to request permission to attend. Someone by the name of a Mr. L. Weinstein indicated that it was a "closed" affair. No exceptions. Personally, I think his actions were a bit draconian, but I am sure he had to draw the line somewhere. A couple of questions - has someone airbrushed these photographs - you all look so young and vibrant. Secondly, how do I get enlargementst of picture 18, 21 and 28.
