This page is just about cookies!!!!!! It includes recipes for Chocolate Chip Cookies, Peanut Butter Cookies,Ginger Snaps and of course, my personal favorite Dump Cookies!!!!!




Chocolate Chip Cookies



Materials



1 cup of butter

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 12 ounce package (2 cups) Grand Union Chocolate Chips

Directions



1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees fahreinheit (moderate).

2. Cream together butter, sugars, vanilla and hot water.

3. Beat in eggs.

4. Combine flour, salt and beking soda; add to creamed batter and mix well.

5. Stir in Grand Union chocolate chips.

6. Drop, in teaspoon, on ungreased cookie sheets about 3 inches apart.

7. Bake 10-12 minutes.

makes about 8 dozen cookies

Peanut Butter Cookies



Materials



1 1/4 cups sifted flour

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup light-brown sugar

1 egg

Directions



1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Sift flour with baking powder, and salt, set aside.

3. In a large bowl with portable electric mixer at medium speed, beat butter with peanut butter. Add the sugars gradually, beat until light and fluffy, beat in egg.

4. Add flour mixture, beat at low speed until well combined.

5. Refrigerate dough, covered, for 1 hour.

6. With teaspoon, shape dough into 3/4 inch balls, place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.Flatten with fork, making crisscross pattern.

7. Bake 6 minutes, then let cool.

Dump Cookies



Materials



All those extra little goodies you have lying around the house, such as gummie worms, chocolate chips, marshmallows,etc...and cookie crumbs(any or all kinds)

Directions



1. Melt all "goodies".

2. Spread out melted mixture in circles on a cookie sheet.

3. Pour cookie crumbs over circles.

4. Let cool.

ENJOY!!!


Ginger Snaps



makes 40 cookies

Materials



1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup light brown sugar

2 sticks unsalted butter

1 egg

1/3 cup molasses

2 teaspoons powdered ginger

1/2 teaspoon powdered clove

1/2 teaspoon powdered cardamon

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

2 teaspoons baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper,preferably white pepper

2 1/4 cups all purpose flour

1 cup coarsley chopped candied orange peel

sugar

Directions



1.Preheat oven to 350*F

2.In a medium bowl, cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy

3.Add egg and molasses and combine thoroughly.

4. In a seperate bowl, sift together all dry ingredients.

5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients

6. Fold the mixture in the candied orange peels and put in the refrigerator until well chilled.

7.Take dough out of the refrigerator and out of the candied orange peels and roll into 1 inch balls.

8. Roll balls in sugar and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet

9.Bake until golden brown about 7 minutes

10.Remove from cookie sheet and let cool.
