Schematic

This is a page that displays the schematic of the transistor switch and its waveform. This is the circuit that was used for analysis of the switch behavior. Note the oscilloscope connected in the circuit with both channels and its ground.

This is the waveform that was obtained after a short period when a power source was supplied to the transistor switch.

This behavior is common with this type of switch due to the use of a NPN type silicon transistor. Because this configuration has a 180 degree phase shift, the input signal is always going to be in the oppsite position from the output signal. Notice that the transistor is NPN and the power connected at the collector is the positive terminal.
