Alexiel is the Organic Angel, the positive force that corresponds to her twin, Rosiel, the Inorganic Angel. They are the children of Adam Kadmon, and between them, they share the Holy Hermit’s six wings, having three each. Unlike her brother, Alexiel was not loved by the Creator, and many believed that it was jealousy that led her to rebel against him, but that was not the case. Unbeknownst to Rosiel, the Creator had made Alexiel swear never to see or speak to her brother. He held her prisoner in the Garden of Eden where she might be kept separate from her twin. It was in the hope of freeing Rosiel and herself from the Creator’s manipulations that Alexiel rebelled, but she could admit this to no one for fear of endangering her brother. When her rebellion failed, she was sentenced by Uriel, the angel of judgement, to the Soul Word Curse: to be reborn again and again in human form, and each time to die a violent and painful death. Lifetime after lifetime this pattern continued until, finally, the pattern was broken by the spirit of Nanatsusaya when he mercifully killed Alexiel’s current incarnation – a young prostitute who had tried to escape her master - before she could be brutally put to death. Her final incarnation is the Messiah, Mudou Setsuna.
