Emotions-CHAPTER TWENTY
"OMG!!!!" AJ said, "Kev take Angel inside and call 911. Don't let her look at Adrianne."
Kevin picked up Angel and ran inside.
AJ ran into the road. The lady who was driving the car that hit Adrianne came over.
"I am so sorry." she said, "I swear, I didn't mean to hit her. She came outta nowhere."
"What's your name?" AJ asked.
"Lisa" the girl replied.
"Look Lisa" AJ said, "If you leave right now I won't press charges."
Lisa left immediatly.
"Baby please wake up." AJ cried, "Everything is gonna be ok."
Adrianne layed there unconscience. A giant gash was on the side of her face. Her head was lying in a fairly big pool of blood.
AJ took off his shirt and placed it on the side of Adrianne's face, trying to get some of the bleeding to stop. She still wasn't responding. AJ leaned over his wife's body and began to cry.
"MOMMY! MOMMY!" Angel screamed as Kevin brought her in the building.
"Brian call 911!" Kevin said.
"Why?" Brian asked.
"Adrianne just got hit by a car." Kevin replied.
Brian quickly got the phone. Kevin sat down on the couch and rocked Angel back and forth.
"I want my Mommy." Angel said softly.
"I know you do baby." Kevin said.
The ambulance came about ten minutes later. The EMT's put a brace on Adrianne's neck and head. They then carefully placed her on a strecher.
"Sir, is this your wife?" one of the EMT's asked AJ.
"Yes" AJ said.
AJ rode in the ambulance as well. He held onto Adrianne's hand the whole ride to the hospital.
Adrianne opened her eyes slightly.
AJ kissed her hand, "Hi baby."
"Is Angel ok?" Adrianne said, so quietly that AJ had to lean his head in closer to hear her.
"She's fine." AJ said, "She's with Kevin right now."
"Good" Adrianne replied, "The most important thing is that Angel's ok."
AJ smiled, "You're important too."
"No" Adrianne said, "Our daughter comes first." She became unconscience again.
"Howie, could you watch Angel for a few minutes?" Kevin asked.
"Of course" Howie said.
Kevin picked up the phone and called Kentucky. His Mom answered.
"Hello"
"M-Mom...."
"Kevin? What's wrong honey?"
"It's Adrianne. She... she..."
"Kev, calm down. What happend?"
"She got hit by a car!"
"NOOO!! Not my baby..."
"I called the airport. There's tickets waiting for you, Tim, Jerald, and Liz there. Your plane leaves in about two and a half hours.
"Ok. We'll be there as soon as we can."
Everyone got into one big van and drove to the hospital. Kevin drove. They all realized quickly that that was a big mistake. Kevin was going 90 mph.
"Kevin slow down." Kristin begged.
"NO!!!" Kevin said angirly.
"You're scaring Angel!" Brian said.
Angel was currled up in a ball crying on Nick's lap.

The EMT's rushed Adrianne into the hospital.
The nurses stuck all kinds of needles and tubes in Adrianne.
"We need to get her down to O.R. immediatly." a doctor said.
AJ followed as the weeled Adrianne down to the O.R. But as soon as they got there, a nurse told him, "I'm sorry sir, you can't go in there."
"She's my wife!" AJ said, "I have to be with her."
"I understand." the nurse answered, "If I could let you go back there, beleive me, I would, but I'm afraid you can't."
AJ thanked the nurse, then he slowly walked down to the waiting room.
Ten minutes later, everyone else arrived.
"Daddy!" Angel said, running into AJ's arms.
AJ hugged his daughter as tight as he could, trying not to cry infront of her.
"Where Mommy?" Angel asked.
"She's with the doctors baby." AJ replied.
Kevin took AJ aside, "What's going on? Is she gonna be ok?"
"I dunno." AJ said, "I don't know what's going on. God dammit! This is all my fault."
"No it's not." Kevin replied.
Hours went by. Still no word on Adrianne.
Howie stood up and spoke to AJ, "Do you want something to drink?"
"No" AJ said, "But thanks for asking."
Angel tugged on AJ's shirt, "Daddy?"
"What is it Angel?" AJ asked.
"I made this for Mommy." Angel said, "I traced my hand with a crayon and wrote 'Happy Birthday Mommy. I wuv you' on it"
A tear came down AJ's face.
"I go give it to Mommy now?" Angel asked.
"You can't right now honey." AJ said.
Angel looked like she was gonna cry, "But I wanna see her now!! I want my Mommy!"
AJ held Angel, "Shhh.... calm down. Mommy is gonna be ok."
"I hope" AJ said to himself.
