Here we have one of the best examples of the idioctic misconception, that "cave-people" lived at the same time as the Dinosaurs. It has always perplexed me, as to how Hollywood filmmakers could be so stupid. Of course, if you accept this kind of thing as "Fantasy"; then I guess it would qualify to be included within these pages. This type of film is usually more comical, than thrilling. The cave-"men" look rather convincing and primitive; but the women are usually big-busted amazons, running around in the skimpiest of animal-skins. While I admit I like to satisfy my vicarious urges by salivating over these tender morsels; it always puzzles me how female evolution apparantly remained stagnant, and the males evolved from these primate troglodytes. (Of course it could be argued that man has actually evolved very little over these millions of years. Just ask my first wife. She'll be happy to elucidate that arguement!)I'm not sure when Hollywood got the idea of cave-people and dinosaurs. Some credit might be focused on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who wrote along these lines in his LOST WORLD novel. However, Doyle's book supposes an atavistic plateau, where dinosaurs abound, isolated from the twentieth century. There is a certain amount of logic to his tale, which makes the story work. This movie on the other hand, has no logic, or continuity, even within the story's boundaries. This is a truly abysmal film. The true fantasy here, probably lies in the Director's dream of creating an "important work". If you'd like to see a flick about "real" cavepeople, then pick up a copy of "QUEST FOR FIRE". Now THAT is a significant film!...And there are no dinosaurs in that film!
