Xellos Metallium
The mysterious or trickster priest, Xellos is the priest and general of Juu-ou Zelas Metallium. He was created from a prt of her astral body, and so his powers cannot be matched by anyone outside of the five subordinates. He resides in the astral plain. The form we see as Xellos is merely a patchwork created by his magic, including his clothes being a part of his body.
Xellos originally met up with Lina in Episode 2 of Next, as a travelling priest. Even though Lina doesn't learn for sure that Xellos is a mazoku till Gaav announces it, she learns early on not to take anything he says or does at face value. Of course this s rightfully so, because when ellos tells a story or discusses anything, what he leaves out is usually what needs to be known, but remains, as Xellos says, "a secret."
Xellos is very loyal to his master and sticks to whatever plan Juu-ou has laid out. Even when following Hellmaster Fibrizzo he never questioned his orders, but figured out Hellmaster's plan on his own, and never gave the Maryu-ou a hint of what he did known.
Of course he is also responsible for the deaths of hundreds of dragons during the Kouma Sensou. He's feared by even the gold dragons,like Mirgazia, and he just plain irks poor Filia. Filia seems to be the only person who actualy seems to get on Xellos' nerves by calling him "namagomi" (raw garbage). Well Amelia occasionally gets to him too with her "life is wonderful" speeches, but that would get to anyone eventually.
