~Email Me!~

1:42 PM The die is cast; my discernment papers are on their way to the Commission on Ministry. Lunch with the Bishop fed my soul as well as my body. Thank you, Lord.
Too Much Going On

I haven't written in several days. I'm not too sure why, although we were at Perfect Bay on the weekend again, not coming home until Monday a.m. for work. And Tuesday I twisted my knee bad enough that I couldn't walk. Yesterday I walked with a cane, but I still got to the Confirmation service. Thank goodness; it was the BEST Confirmation I have been to. The excitement and the joy as we greeted the newest group of those who reaffirmed their faith was as deep as that of the early Christians, I'm sure. The doctor said that this new problem is because bone is rubbing on bone. He gave me a cortisone shot, which worked almost immediately. It should last through the Mexico trip, at least, and maybe many weeks more. I know the ones I used to get in my shoulder would last for months. And he said to keep up the walking as it is the best exercise I could get. So I'm home in the middle of the day, having taken a sick day to get this knee straightened out. And I may walk later! Quite a change from that old lady who limped into church this early a.m. with her cane! (Ah!, but you are young in spirit, says the Bishop. Bless that man!)
