Tyler's fan club party was alot of fun! They handed out his CD single of "I Drove Her to Dallas" and a mousepad with his photo on it. Food was also served and Tyler took song requests and laughed and joked with the fans. Tyler's whole family was there...his Mother and Father, Wife and darlin' munchkins and he brought them all on stage for introductions and photo ops. The funniest part was when he told the story of how uncool he thought it would be to drive up the "Douglas Corner Cafe"(where the party was held)in a Ford Taurus. So he called Garth's people and asked if he could borrow one of his vehicles.

They told him the Chevy Dually was available and the Lexus. He thought...the Lexus, cool! When he went to pick up the vehicle, they said "you are taking the Dually right"?LOL Anyway, enroute to the party, he hit a guy in a small pick-up truck. They stopped and got out to survey the damage. Tyler asked the guy if he knew who he(Tyler) was and the guy said no. He told him he was in the music business. He then asked the guy if he'd heard of Garth Brooks, as he used to be in his band. The guy said of course! Tyler said...well, I AM Garth Brooks! LOL With video tapes rolling throughout the party and at this time, he pleaded that no one show the tape to Garth. In fact, he said...I sure hope he's not at the back of the club! :) (as he looked around)

Tyler's a real sweet guy and there's no rushing him when it comes to having stuff signed and photos taken...this sweetheart loves to talk! Capitol recently dropped him from their roster and it's a damn shame because his album "Highways and Dance Halls" is really good. They never promoted him like they could have. Their roster is rather full and of course the fact that Garth's still with the label.....Oh well, here's hoping Tyler gets signed with another label; one that will promote him like he should be promoted.

Of course no trip to Nashville is complete without visiting Garth's gates!
