Somewhere around March 2000 the idea for this CD surfaced and from that idea, this project was born. Eight of the best songwriters in the world who became friends of Garth's over the years have collaborated on this project; it's a way to show their appreciation to Garth for how he has affected their lives and in it you will hear what Garth heard and subsequently recorded. This CD is FANTASTIC and was released 4/10/01! Perhaps you were fortunate enough to catch these songwriters at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville on 4/10/01 as they embarked on their nationwide tour? I was not fortunate enough to be present then but thanks to some very dear friends(Jim and Cathy), I heard Tony Arata sing "The Dance" over the phone and I have an autographed copy of the CD signed by all but Victoria Shaw and Dewayne Blackwell. I plan on seeing them at The Point in Bryn Mawr, PA on 6/27/01 and perhaps when they return to the Bluebird Cafe on 6/15/01.
