A Message from The Breast Cancer Research Foundation

Evelyn H. Lauder, Founder and Chairman; Myra J. Biblowit, President, and the staff and supporters of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation would like to express our deep sadness over the loss of so many wonderful people in the tragedies we have endured as a country in these past weeks. The numbers are staggering and we all find it difficult to focus on our own lives and especially our work. Our heartfelt sympathies abound. Because The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure in our lifetime, the events of September 11, 2001 are that much more thought-provoking. Together, as a nation, we fight a score of battles, every day. Most, thankfully, are fleeting, but some require our ongoing support. At the Foundation, we continue our quest for a cure because the incidents and mortality statistics in breast cancer also defy our comprehension. This year alone, over 190,000 will be diagnosed and over 40,000 of those precious lives will leave us, too Please help us to continue our mission, as we move forward and take back our lives. May the memories of our loved ones live on in the good work we do everyday.
