Robin Ventura

Robin's Feats

Robin Ventura is the New York Mets 3rd basemen. He is a big part of the team.

He has great numbers with the bases loaded. In the 1999 NLCS in Game 5, Robin hit the ball over the wall with the bases loaded to force a 6th game where the Mets would lose in extra innings. It wasn't ruled a grand slam because Todd Pratt didn't give Robin a chance to round the bases. It would have been the first walk off grand slam in post season history.

Robin played for the Chicago White Sox until he signed with the New York Mets before the 1999 season. He didn't have great numbers in 1998 due to a broken ankle. Hopefully Robin will continue to help the Mets in the 2000 Major League baseball season and maybe get the Mets to the World Series.
