Unconditional Love

He Will Rise Again

Although the thought of knowing angels are near and that we are each assigned a special guardian angel is a wonderful comfort, we must remember that God created angels to serve Him and carry out His duties, as helpers. We should never loose perspective of this. We can love them, but never worship angels, only our God and Lord, Jesus Christ. The bible says "Don't let anyone declare you lost when you refuse to worship angels.." (Colossians 2:18 - The Living Bible) and "..Then I fell down at his (the angel's) feet to worship him, but he said, "No! Don't! For I am a servant of God just as you are, and as your brother Christians are, who testify of their faith in Jesus." (Revelation 19:10 - The Living Bible).

God sends us angels to help us in times of trouble. But we must "Look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith". (Hebrews 12:2 KJV) Angels are meant to encourage us, as we should encourage each other. I believe the Lord uses us to "act" as "angels unaware" at times. For one of the true tests of our faith is how we administer to the hurting and wounded. We can be loving to those who are unloving in faith, since "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1 KJV) Compassion touches people as no other thing can in the world, for it is the only thing that touches them where they hurt. A gentle touch, an ear to listen, an encouraging word, a smile, or anything we can do to help others who are hurting. Whether we know them or not.

So often we end up in predicaments in life that leave us feeling cheated. Or more often, that our situation isn't fair. We have all thought this at some time in our lives. Surely there are some circumstances and catastrophies that are not fair. But instead of turning our backs on God, or being mad at Him for allowing certain things to happen, let's try to remember the following facts and image.

The fact : Jesus looked upon us as the wounded. He knew there was no help for us unless He administered His boundless compassion to us. The bible reminds us"For Jesus the Messiah is (the one referred to in the Scriptures when they speak of) a 'stone discarded by the builders which became the capstone of the arch.' There is salvation in no one else! Under all heaven there is no other name for men to call upon to save them." (Acts 4:11 & 12 - Living Bible). Jesus was the unwanted savior. He was cast aside like a bad stone, but now we have the opportunity to know in faith that He truly is our Savior and King of Kings.

The image: Jesus suffering His agonizing and shameful death, through no fault of His own. There were 10,000 angels at His side, crying as he suffered. It would have taken just one tiny utterance from Jesus for them to come and destroy the evil and save Him from this shameful and painful death. Yet He chose to remain on that cross, in all of His pain, so that we might be saved. He did it only for us. However, during all of His pain, all of His sorrow and broken heartedness, all of His torture hanging on that cross, He never said -- This isn't fair. But He did say "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do". (Luke 23:24 KJV

I thank Him and praise Him for His Unconditional Love and compassion for us as sinners. And I give Him the glory for allowing me to be used by Him and having the ability through Him to create this web site.
