Random Act of Kindness of the Month
March 2005
Steele School Scott Stolzenberg Teacher - Music Nicholas at Steele School is similar to the worker ant he portrays in our drama club production of "Frog and Toad." He's intelligent, musical, motivated and an ambitious fourth grader striving for success in all he does. Nicholas is being recognized this month for the countless hours he generously gives up during his recess for the drama club to ensure a dynamite production. Whether it's stacking giant teacups for Frog's tea party, lining up six foot carrots for Toad's garden, shoving snow shovels for the winter scene or untangling umbrellas for the spring, Nicholas is always there for his fellow insects, reptiles and amphibians. No wonder we call him Saint Nick! P. S. 279 Barbara Borsare Teacher - Grade 2 I want to nominate Jelani Baker for the Random Act of Kindness of the month award. He is kind and helpful to everyone he meets! Claxton Elementary School Stacey Caskey Teacher - grade 4 Our RAOK honoree this month is Keldon. When his cousin had severe stomach pains in school one day, he packed up all of her belongings and helped carry her down the stairs where she was then taken to the hospital. He never had to be asked to help...he just jumped right in and helped! P.S. 279 Harriet Stolzenberg Teacher - computer lab While I was adjusting my word wall, which is located high up on the wall, Jamal needed help. Before I could come down Tyriek came to the rescue! He left the activity he was doing to help his classmate without even being asked. Not only did Tyriek help Jamal, but he helped me too! We would both like to say, "Thanks!" P.S. 279 Rosalie Azzopardi Teacher - Grade 3 This month's random act of kindness award goes to Alex Trader of Astral 3-204. Alex always shows kindness to his classmates. If they need something, such as a pencil, Alex is always willing to share. He also is very honest and takes responsibility for his actions.
