Day 18
Thursday December 28, 2017
We slept in today and got some much needed rest. When we got up today Dee was still feeling beat up. I'm doing well except for a nagging cough. We got ready for the day and packed up the rest of our things for today's move.

Since we had the room for the whole day we took our time getting ready and Dee relaxed and watched her show while I worked on this report and got caught up on e-mails.

We headed out of the Golden Nugget and out. Dee was hungry so I stopped at a place called The Bagel Cafe off of Summerlin Parkway and Buffalo. Nice place with a huge assortment of deli, bagels, and bakery.

The next stop was to Summerlin to Rampart. This is actually the final move of the trip. Normally that's a sad thing, and it is but this is where we'll call home for the next 7 nights.

I booked this through our host back in the summer when we were here. He's got us set up in a Junior suite for the entire stay. Both of us also have mail offers for $525 free play, and a $20 food voucher. My offer comes with an additional $60 food voucher for my birthday.

We tried checking in and the room was ready. We started off with some unpacking. It's always nice to have a long stay at the end of a trip so we can actually unpack and be a bit more organized than we have been the last 2 weeks.

We were assigned room 5113 in the Spa tower. This is a Handicap Accessible Junior Suite with small bathroom on the left as you enter. It's a full accessible wet room with shower, sink and toilet all with safety bars.

There's a small wet bar area with a coffee maker, sink and fridge and then you enter the living room. There's and L shaped couch, coffee table, end table and arm chair. There's also a dining table that doubles as a work desk. In the middle of the room is a TV cabinet that sort of separates the living room from the bed room.

The bed room is standard with a king bed and nightstands and another arm chair. It has a view of the courtyards.

The bathroom is huge with a toilet room with bidet, dual sink vanity, shower stall and whirlpool tub. There's also a huge walk in closet.

Dee still isn't feeling well and took a nap while I got the room ready for our stay.

I hit the machines after this and played some video poker. I chose 10 play. It was decent. Early on I hit quad threes followed by a dealt straight and was up $100 right away. It was streaky after that but then the quads started coming. Couldn't hit one from a 3 card hold but they were coming from pairs. I got dealt a full house and hit a king high straight flush (no so dreaded because I held the 9). I had the meter up by almost 2 bills. I continued to plug along and lost all of that and was even down a bit. Another dealt full house got me back in it and I cashed out with about a $50 loss after 4k.

I came up to the room to get Dee and we hit the casino together. We played more 10 play. This time it was similar with no quads from trips but a good amount of quads. Dee was up a bit but I was getting blasted. Then I started getting good hands and Dee was getting blasted. We toughed it out and then Dee got dealt quad 10's. This got her back into it and amazingly we were both up now. We decided to cash out up close to $200.

For dinner we went to Promenade Cafe. I had Grilled Cheese and chicken noodle soup and Dee had chicken noodle soup. Everything was fine and as usual service was slow here.

After dinner it was back to the machines again. We hit the 10 plays again and it was streaky. Dee landed double quad aces on one hand and got ahead for a few minutes. I also hit aces but was still down $100. We continued on. Again drawing quads with a 3 card hold was not happening. Dee aces again and I did too. A lack of quads overall was a killer for us and we dropped around 5 bills between us but had gotten enough play in on Dee's card.

We went to see our host and he was going to load all of the free play from Dee's offer today instead of in 3 increments over 3 days. This really works well for the way I have planned out our play.

Dee was feeling like crap so I brought her up here to the room and I went back to the casino to run her free play through. I chose single line 8/5 bonus. It was tough going lots of hands between winners and the whole time I only hit one full house. Luckily I hit quad nines, kings, and aces! I turned the $525 into $600 cash.

It was a long day with the move and all of the action so we came up here to the room to relax with some TV and then we went to bed.
