Colossus: "Do you know, tovarisch, that in Russia, she and I could be married now and raising a family." Logan: "If that's what you want, it won't hurt to wait." Colossus: "I thought it was. And that I could. It never entered my head that Katya felt differently." Logan: "She gave herself to the Morlocks to save your life, bub. I figure that gives a pretty good idea of where she stands." Colossus: "I wish I was as certain." Logan: "You scared, boy?" Colossus: "Douglas Ramsey is everything I am not -- and can never be. Watching Kitty with him, listening to them, brings home some brutal truths -- I am an ignorant peasant, from a society and culture as alien to her as any we've encountered in space. Kitty was a dream, my friend. Perhaps it is time at last to wake and face reality." Logan: "If that's what you truly believe, Peter -- about yourself as well as her -- you've lost already. Kitty: "Ogun's eyes linger on mine -- and my first instinct is to run away and hide. I suddenly remember how scared I was the first time I met Wolverine. Without a word being said, I'd known instinctively what he was. Ogun's the same." (Kitty Pryde and Wolverine #1 - November, 1984)

Ogun: ~"Wolverine is her teammate -- and her friend -- he will prove the ultimate test of my conditioning. It should hold. He should mean nothing to her. How strange, my old comrade, are the ways of fate. Kitty's, you see, is what I originally had in mind for you."~ Kitty: "I am here, sensei, in answer to your summons. Command me as you will.
