CardCaptors
The GemCaptor Chronicles

Last time on CardCaptors . . .

“Only two more to go . . .”
Last time, Aquilia seemed to have fallen under a spell of despair as she awaited the arrival of two specific Kayo Gems. As Ceaira tried to figure out what was wrong with her, Aquilia decided to take flight and roam the city on her own, after getting into an argument with Kero.
     “What’s happening to the city?!”
As she wandered, the city was suddenly attacked by a massive earthquake, which caused numerous fissures to appear. To her shock, a giant mantis, which was the Earthy Gem, appeared from within the earth and attacked the city.
“I don’t care if I don’t have all my power’s back, I have to stop it!”
Before Aquilia was able to take on the gem on her own, Ceaira came by and stopped her. The gang them formulated a plan to use Wood an Amazon, but Earthy broke free. Finally, the gang came up with a plan to combine the three elements of Fire, Water, and Wind to stop it. Aquilia flew off suddenly to keep Earthy distracted.
     “I’ll use my telekinetic powers!”
Using her powers, Aquilia destroyed Earthy’s claws, but passed out from the strain of energy. Ceaira caught her before she fell, and then placed her on the ground as she and Sakura attacked the mantis with their elemental talismans. Once the gem was sealed, the gang received a fortunate surprise.
“The four elemental gems are needed to fully restore my powers, but the Star Gem will enable my final transformation. For now, I have my strongest attack power, Star Blaster.”
Aquilia’s no longer depressed, and now she’s one step closer to completing her final transformation. Question is, how long will the gang have to away for the arrival of the Star Gem?

Episode Sixteen

The Imaginary Knight

     “MOTHER!”
Nikki stormed quickly out of her room with a very angry expression on her face, heading toward the study. There, Mrs. Yanagisawa was sitting at her computer, typing up a chapter for her next book. The thirteen year old stomped into the study and sat down quickly in a chair, crossing her arms in front of her. “Nikki, what’s wrong dear?” “Kara took the monitor again, and I was doing my English homework! Why can’t you and dad buy a new monitor for her computer so she stops taking mine?” “Because she has to buy it Nikki. Her friend accidentally broke it and it’s her responsibility to replace it.” “But she replaces it with MY monitor! She doesn’t have enough money you know . . .”
Sitting in her room decorated with posters of mythological creatures, Kara adjusted her glasses as she typed away on the keyboard. Stopping for a second, she smiled as she read her creation aloud. “As the mysterious shadow drew ever so closer to the unsuspecting traveler, the light of the full moon above reflected off the blade of the jagged dagger in his gloved hand. Suddenly, he stepped on a twig which caused the traveler to turn sharply. The shadow knew he lost the element of surprise, so he sprang forward hastily, aiming the dagger at his victim to be’s heart. He jumped into the air, but just before he could drive the weapon into the body, the traveler-” “KARA!”
The older teen suddenly jumped up from her computer chair in fright, accidentally losing her balance which caused her to fall on the floor. Nikki and their mother walked in a few minutes later as Kara climbed up off the floor and rubbed her head. “Ouch.” “Young lady, did you take Nikki’s monitor while she was doing her English homework?” “You’re lucky I just started it Kara! What I wrote was erased from the program because of you!” “Well you were the one who said I could use the monitor now!” “Enough you two!”
Hearing Mrs. Yanagisawa yell out in protest, the two sisters broke away from their glaring contest and looked at her, hoping one would win the argument. Taking a deep breath, she walked over to the monitor and unplugged it, handing it to Nikki. Kara’s eyes widened, then she clenched her fist as she turned sharply. “Mother!” “I don’t want to hear it. You two have been fighting over that monitor since your friend Yuuki accidentally broke yours with her soccer ball, Kara. Nikki needs it for her homework, and agreement or not her purpose is more important.” “So how am I supposed to work on my stories until I get a new monitor!?” “Why not buy a typewriter? They’re practical and you don’t need disks or have to worry about it crashing or freezing up. That and it’s less expensive to replace should something happen.”
Thinking about it, Kara sat down in her chair and pushed her glasses up her nose slightly. She then crossed her arms and thought for a few more minutes, then looked up at her mother and smiled. “Sure. I’ll go check out some typewriters, and besides some of the greatest authors worked on typewriters so maybe I’ll become one of the greats because of it too.” “That’s the spirit. Don’t forget what I’ve told you though about writing. It’s not the tools that make a good story, it’s-” “It’s the storyline that sells.” Letting out a giggle, Kara quickly grabbed her purse and raced out of the room toward the porch. Mrs. Yanagisawa quickly followed up to the doorframe, where she stuck her head out and watched as Kara raced out the door. “Something tells me I’ve been giving the storyline speech too much.”
“And it’s Sakura making a bee-line for the opposing goal! It looks like NOTHING is going to stop the Star Team from winning the World Cup ladies and gentlemen!” Kero then cheered and shot his fist up into the air as Sakura sped down the field toward the goal in which Meilin was blocking. Madison was waiting near her, while Li attempted to catch up to her from behind. Aquilia whistled for Li as she flapped her wings rapidly. “And here comes Li from the Lightning Team from the inside. He’s not about to let the opposition tie up the game. Will he succeed or will Miss Avalon turn the tables?!”
Diving forward, Li attempted to spin around and kick the soccer ball away from Sakura. However, she managed to kick it before he stopped it, sending the ball flying toward Meilin. “I GOT IT!” She crouched down and pushed off the ground, leaping to the side and hitting the ball away with her hands just before it went past the tree which marked the goal post. Li cheered at the save, while Sakura and Madison smiled and congratulated her. Kero and Aquilia flew over, with Aquilia landing on Meilin’s shoulder while Kero found a place on top of Sakura’s head. “Way to go Meilin and Li!” “Thanks Aquilia!” “Sakura and Madison did a pretty good job playing catch-up near the end you know. They deserve a round of applause too Aquilia!” “It’s okay Kero, we know she thinks we did great.” Sakura couldn’t help but laugh at Madison’s reaction, which caused Li to smile and Meilin to giggle. She then turned to her blue eyed friend and gave one of her friendly smiles. “Madison, how can you always be so calm and understanding all the time?” “I don’t know, I just am. Guess it’s my natural personality. How about we go get some lunch? I’ll make sure to order some pudding and cupcakes for Kero and Aquilia.” “YAY!” “PUDDING!” Laughing once again, the gang grabbed their gear and headed for the restaurant. However, before they left the park, Meilin and Sakura grabbed both Kero and Aquilia and stuffed them into the same duffle bag.
“Okay, thanks anyway.” Kara sighed to her self in a fit of hidden frustration as she left the third store on her list of possible places, looking up the street at the others. She then looked through her purse and quickly counted her money. “Great, three places where they used to sell typewriters, and now when I need one they don’t carry any. What rotten luck.” She then removed the list from her pocket and looked it over, then started up the street on her bicycle as cars began filling the room to signal the lunch hour rush. “Let’s see, there’s one more store on this list . . .and that’s Writer’s Haven.”
Some time later, Kara turned the corner and rode down the street, putting on the brakes and stopping in front of a store with medieval images on the window. “This must be the place. Wonder what’s it’s like. It hasn’t been open long.” Kara nodded to herself, then locked up her bike on the rack with a couple of others. She then grabbed her backpack and headed for the store, but as she opened the door and walked in, she collided with someone walking out, causing them to fall to the ground and for the second person to drop all of their books. Kara climbed up to her knees a second later and shook her head, recovering her senses as she looked at the person she crashed into. “I’m so sorry about that!” “It’s okay, I couldn’t see where I was going and . . .Kara?” “Huh?”
The two looked up, then smiled and laughed as Kara realized she crashed into Ceaira, and vice versa. After getting up, Ceaira grabbed her books from off the ground and flashed one of her big smiles. “So what brings you to my new favorite fantasy store?” “Well, I was looking for a typewriter.” “Still haven’t replaced the monitor that Yuuki wrecked with her soccer ball?” “Nah, and now I only have enough money for a typewriter, but having one might be fun, you know?” “If that’s what you think, then go for it Kara. Want me to show you where they are?” “Sure!”
Kara smiled, which caused Ceaira to smile back as they walked back into the store. A few minutes later, the two teenagers entered a narrow aisle of pencils, pads of paper, and old looking typewriters. As Kara walked ahead to check out the devices, Ceaira suddenly gasped as a strain of energy shot through her head. She narrowed her eyes, then began looking around the isle she was standing in. “A Kayo Gem . . .but why in this store? What could it have taken the form of . . .”
As Ceaira began searching for the possible gem, Kara stopped suddenly as her eyes widened. She then reached out and removed an old typewriter from the shelf. “This might be it. It looks nice . . .” Kara then noticed a piece of paper hanging from one of the keys. She lifted it up and read that the apparatus only costed ten dollars. “Wow! Ceaira, do you think this is a good buy or what?!”
Turning to face her friend, Kara noticed Ceaira was no where in the same aisle with her anymore. As she looked for her, Ceaira was walking past other aisles in another part of the store, with her index and middle fingers being held between her narrowed eyes. “Where could it be? It’s so faint . . .”
Suddenly, Kara walked out of the aisle and saw her looking around suspiciously, which made her become curious. She then walked over to Ceaira, still carrying the old typewriter in both of her arms. “Something wrong Ceaira? Why are you holding your fingers in front of your face?” Snapping out of her trance, Ceaira gasped as she turned toward Kara, then began to mentally panic as she hoped she didn’t see her using any kind of magic. “Oh, no reason, really! Listen, I’m gonna meet my friends at the park so I’ll talk to you at school tomorrow k?” “Sure thing. See ya later Ceaira!” Waving, Ceaira quickly ran out of the store and over to her bike. Upon stopping, she took a moment to catch her breath as she placed her books on her bike’s luggage rack. “That was so close! Kara almost saw me use the Arrow of Syona! Looks like I’m going to have to come back later . . .might even have to break into the store . . .but first I have to get to the park, and hopefully Aquilia will still be hanging out with the others . . .”She nodded to herself, then placed her helmet on her head and fastened it tightly. She then mounted her bike and headed down the street toward the park.
“Mom! I’m home!” Kara couldn’t wipe the smile from her face as she pulled her slippers onto her feet. She then picked up a large box and headed upstairs, and into her room. There, she opened it and pulled out the old typewriter and placed it on her desk. “I still can’t believe that I got such a nice looking typewriter for so little money! Must have been my lucky day.” Kara giggled to herself, then grabbed some paper and loaded it in. She then sat down, checked the equipment, then stretched out her arms as she thought for a moment. “Let’s see . . .I think I’ll continue my Paladin Solo story to test this thing out. But where did I leave it last?” She then stood up from her chair and began searching her shelves for her story’s draft. As she did, the typewriter remained on the desk. However, unbeknownst to her, the typewriter suddenly because engulfed in a strange dark green aura which caused the key’s letters to shine brightly.
“You sensed a Kayo Gem at the store?” “Yeah . . .but before I could locate it Kara saw me with my fingers to my face. She almost saw the Arrow of Syona.” Giving a nod, Aquilia placed a feather like finger to her beak as everyone seemed to sit in a circle under a cherry blossom tree with buds just freshly bloomed. Ceaira sighed to herself, then yawned as she sat back and rested her back against the tree bark. “The power was pretty strong though. I wasn’t able to tell if it was one or two.” “Do you think it’s possible that the gems can combine their energies to fool both your senses?” “I don’t really know Li. I may be the guardian beast of the lock, but unfortunately Clow Kayo didn’t inform me of everything.”
Sakura let out a frustrated sigh, then pulled her knees up to her chest and rested her chin on then as she went into thought. “I’ve been wondering lately if you and your sister were to be the only GemCaptor’s Ceaira . . .” “How so?” “Well, take myself and Meilin. We’ve both fought a Kayo Gem each and we were the ones to claim them. It makes me wonder if Li can claim them too . . .seeing as he is able to use my cards.” “That’s a good possibility . . .” Frowning faintly, Ceaira moved away from the tree and laid down on the ground, closing her eyes as she seemed to be totally relaxed.
Suddenly, there was a loud swoosh sound as a metallic object quickly sliced through the air and drove into the ground right above the tip of Ceaira’s hair. She froze for a moment, then slowly moved her eyes up the sword and screamed when she saw a fully armor covered being, with blue eyes glaring through the closed visor. “I have found thee, vile sorceress! Prepare to taste the steel of my blade!”
Ceaira suddenly jumped up along with the rest of the group, and they all began to slowly back away. The being removed the sword from the ground, then gripped the handle with both hands as it glared toward them all. “I am Solo, most loyal knight of the queen’s realm. It is my honored duty to carry out my majesty’s request, and vanquish this land of you three evil magicians! Premeditate for the great abyss!”
Suddenly, the knight held his sword up to the sky, causing the sunlight to reflect off of the metal. He then charged forward and swung the blade, which caused everyone to jump back and run away quickly. Ceaira quickly grabbed her arrow pendant as they ran, and turned toward the others as they hastily sped off as quickly as possible. “Everyone! Summon your weapons and go to your true forms! Scatter now!” “Right!”
Finding a safe spot, everyone began to scatter. Upon finding hiding places, they each began to prepare for the upcoming battle. Ceaira grabbed her pendant and held it in front of her. She then placed her hands together to conceal the pendant from view. She then closed her eyes and began her incantation. “Lock of Kayo . . .Key of Syona . . .forces of good . . .surrender the bow . . .surrender the might . . .so I may fight!” A blue light appeared, causing her to open her eyes. She pulled her hands apart and the blue arrow rose upward. It then became engulfed in a sphere of light blue energy. Streams of the same energy appeared then flowed into the pendant, which then began to morph. Ceaira then leaped up and stopped in front of the finished product of the metamorphosis; her crossbow. She grabbed it then fell back toward the ground to land on her feet.
Taking the Star Key into her hands, Sakura held it in front of her. A sphere of light appeared about the object as she began the incantation. “O key which hides the power of the stars, reveal your true form before me.” Streams of energy appeared and swirled around her. At the same time other streams were flowing into the key as it spun around in mid air. “I, Sakura, command your transformation under our contact! RELEASE!” It then began to extend. Sakura grabbed the mid-section then twirled it around until it was at full size.
“Source of light with ancient spin, send forth the magical power within . . .” He then threw the pendant up to the sky and it began transforming as well. “Force know my plight, release the light!” As it fell, it began to take on the form of his sword. Before it hit the ground, he grabbed the handle, and the light shattered to reveal the sword’s form.
Kero began to glow in his own golden aura as he levitated from the ground. Suddenly he bursted into that very energy, which expanded to create his new form. Once the light vanished, Kero became a large golden lion with white wings, wearing a helmet encrusted with a large red sun shaped ruby.
“‘You three cannot escape my blade forever! Reveal thy forms this instant!’ And so Solo continued to search for the three magicians, knowing that with his victory, peace will once again return to the small kingdom.” Kara smiled, then stretched out her fingers as she finished reading the freshly typed page. She then drank some water from her glass, and replaced the glass on the coaster. “Okay, let’s see . . .I know!” Smiling and pushing her glasses back up her nose, she placed her fingers on the typewriter keys and continued her story. “Solo knew how the leader of the magical trio thought, for he had fought her in battle before. Seeing a trace of her clothes in a tree, he headed toward it. In his mind, Solo knew this was the perfect opportunity to finish this battle quickly.”
Ceaira remained in her kneeled position on the thick tree branch, looking around as she used her magic to create a fresh arrow to fire. “Which one of the gems is this? I have to find Aquilia when I get the right opportunity to escape this tree.” “I have found thee!” “HUH!?”
Looking down at the ground right below her, she cried out as the knight leaped into the air and brought his sword up behind his head. Knowing she had to get away quickly, Ceaira grabbed a gem and threw it up, shooting it as she called out it’s name. “Jump Gem, dispel!” A pair of white wings appeared on the ankles of her shoes, allowing her to leap into the air just as the blade slashed clean through the tree limb, sending it crashing to the ground. Ceaira looked down from the sky and gasped at the fallen branch, then looked around the rest of the park. “Aquilia! Where are you!?” “Over here!”
Ceaira looked down quickly at a tall cherry blossom tree where she saw the small blue bird hovering above it. Ceaira then headed for it, landing on one of the higher branches as Aquilia flew down toward her. “Ceaira! I know which gem it is!” “Which one is it then?!” “It’s the Create Gem! We’re part of a story now and it seems we’re the villains!” “So what your saying is we’re involved in a plot and we might not even have any kind of control over our fate?” “Exactly!”
“This is going great!” Kara smiled as she turned on her stereo, then returned to her typewriter and looked back through her other draft of the story to see where she could take it next. “Hmm . . .the three magicians aren’t evil, but in reality the queen wanted them gone. This will make the story much more interesting.” She nodded to herself, then placed the story back on her desk and returned to her typing, speaking the story aloud as she went along. “‘The sorceress was shocked to hear from her feathered ally that she might not have any hope of beating Solo. She knew however, that she had to get through to him somehow, or else the evil queen would win the war against her and would eventually conquer her homeland without herself, or her comrades there to defend it.’”
“We have to stop the knight before he finds the others!” “Okay!” Nodding to Aquilia, Ceaira leaped up from out of the tree and into the air, allowing herself to see the entire park landscape. “Sakura! Li! Meilin! Madison! Kero! Where are you?!”
Sakura looked up from the ground, gripping her Star Wand as she slowly crawled on all four’s toward the main pathway. Following her closely was Madison with her camcorder held to her face, and Meilin with her hands clenched into fists. “Do you two think it’s safe to go out into the open area yet?” “I don’t know Meilin . . .” “Just be careful though okay?” “Okay Madison. I just wish we knew where the others were.”
Suddenly, the girls heard a rustling in the bushes, which caused them to slowly turn around and have their eyes widen from fear. “Your leader has escaped me for now, but at least I can complete a portion of my task by destroying her followers!” The three suddenly then screamed as the knight revealed himself from the darkness. “RUN FOR IT!”
Li looked toward the open section of the park upon hearing the screams, which caused him to run out from his hiding place. Just then, he saw Keroberos running out from out of no where as well with an equal amount of concern and worry in his eyes. “Did you hear those screams Li?” “They were the girls. That night must have found them!” “Let’s go!”
Before the two could go off to search for them, Li and Keroberos suddenly looked down the path to see Sakura, Madison, and Meilin running toward them while dodging the knight’s blade as he swung it at them. Sakura cried out, but then clenched her teeth as she pulled out two cards, throwing them out in front of her as she quickly twirled her wand. “Fly Card, grant your powers to my wand! Jump Card, give your power to Meilin! Release and dispel!” She then slammed her wand against both of them at once, causing Fly’s wings to appear on the star piece of her wand, while a pair of small white wings appeared on Meilin’s ankles.
“Let’s get out of here!” Pulling Madison onto her staff, she and Sakura flew up into the sky while Meilin leaped up into the air. Keroberos quickly grabbed Li and tossed him onto his back, and they took off to fly into the sky as well. Ceaira landed on top of a lamppost and saw the group, then glared down at the knight as he shook his fist at them. “Okay, this ends NOW!”
Ceaira gripped her crossbow tightly, then leapt down to the ground to land in front of the knight, who had his back turned to her. She then lifted her crossbow and fired a red arrow which soared across the ground and slammed into his back, causing a small blast of fire to explode on impact. He turned around and glared, while Ceaira twirled her crossbow on her trigger finger before grasping it once again.
“And so the sorceress succeeded in getting Solo’s attention. ‘Solo! I don’t want to fight you. Don’t you see you’re only being manipulated by your so called queen!?’ she said.” Kara smiled, then stretched out completely before placing her fingers back onto the typewriter to continue. “He watched her with curiosity, wondering how she could say such a thing about his majesty. ‘I am manipulated by no one, you’re simply trying to turn me against my queen in your favor!’”
Back in the park, the knight suddenly swung his sword in front of him and began to charge toward Ceaira. She cried out in panic, but then crouched down quickly and leapt into the air. Taking aim with her crossbow, she fired another fire elemental arrow, which slammed into the knight’s helmet. As he stumbled back attempting to regain his sense of balance, Ceaira landed on the ground gracefully and lifted her crossbow once again to her face, placing her finger against the trigger lightly. “Are you going to stop attacking? I don’t want to hurt you!”
As the two faced off, a strange, sparkling red energy slowly floated down from the sky and seeped into Ceaira’s back without her noticing. As this happened, her eyes glared as she brought the crossbow closer to her face, causing a yellow arrow to appear in the crossbow slot. “Well?” “I will never surrender to such a foul sorceress such as yourself!” “Fine, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
Suddenly, Ceaira felt a strange rush of energy going through her head, followed by a flash of light before her eyes readjusted. Finding herself on her knees, she looked up and cried out from shock as the knight was about ready to bring down his sword at her head. She reacted quickly however and rolled to the side, causing the sword to create a clanging sound as it slammed against the ground. “What just happened?!”
“Aquilia, what happened to Ceaira just now?! She just disappeared and reappeared right under that knight’s sword!” Watching the entire battle unfold, the rest of the gang was hovering in the air, only now Meilin was sitting on Keroberos’s back along with Li. Aquilia landed on Sakura’s shoulder, then began pondering until she let out a panicked gasp. “Oh no . . .we have a double trouble situation.” “What do you mean?” “What I mean, is that Move just decided to intervene and help Create’s magic beat Ceaira!” “WHAT?!” “The only way for Ceaira to win against Move is to predict it’s next location, then use her magic to gain control over it so she can make it appear where she wants to appear!” “Someone has to tell her that!” “Don’t worry, I will. I am her guardian beast after all.”
The small bird took a deep breath, then dived down toward the ground as Ceaira climbed up to her feet. Landing on her shoulder, Aquilia turned toward Ceaira’s face quickly. “Ceaira, we have a problem. Move’s trying to help Create to take you down!” “Just great, like I don’t have enough to worry about!”
“Whatcha doing Kara?” Just then, Nikki wandered into Kara’s room carrying a glass of orange juice in her right hand. She leaned over her older sister’s shoulder and read the story to herself until Kara spun around in her chair to face her. “What do you want?” “I just wanted to see what you’re doing.” “I’m working on Paladin Solo again.” “Wow. Can I read it?” “Sure. Solo’s fighting the sorceress and she’s trying to convince him she’s not the enemy.”
Nikki smiled, then adjusted her glasses as she leaned over. Suddenly though, her glass slipped and she spilled orange juice all over the paper and typewriter. Kara gasped, then became angry as she stood up from her chair and pushed Nikki toward the door. “How could you do that Nikki?! I’ve been working on that story all afternoon!” “I’m sorry! It was an accident!”
Disappearing again, Ceaira found herself once again in the path of the knight’s sword. She leaped back, but the sword caught her left sleeve. It sliced through and barely cut her skin, causing her to hiss from pain as she landed and gripped her arm. “Aquilia. How do I defeat this knight if Move keeps putting me on the line of attack!?” “You have to use your magic in mid transport and make it transport you where YOU want to go!” “Are you sure?” “Yes!” “Good! I have an idea on how to seal them but I needed a way to get above the night so I can try a new sal shot!” “Okay. Go for it Ceaira!”
Giving a nod, Ceaira closed her eyes and became totally relaxed as she kneeled down to the ground. She listened to all the sounds around her, and scanned the atmosphere for energy traces. Suddenly, she saw the red energy shoot out toward her, and then flashed her eyes open quickly as she disappeared once again. Aquilia swallowed a lump in her throat as she hovered off of the ground above the knight, who was searching for Ceaira. “Good luck my friend . . .”
“My story is ruined, this typewriter’s no good . . .guess the day went from good to bad.” Kara sighed to herself from sadness as she opened the dumpster lid, making sure the pole she just put in place would stay. She then lifted the broken typewriter, and tossed it in. “Guess I’ll have to go back to the store tomorrow and get a new typewriter.” Kara continued to frown, then removed the pole which caused the lid to crash down. She then turned around and headed back toward the house, wishing her day had gone better.
Ceaira found herself standing in a black world, where there was nothing but herself standing. She looked around, then figured out that it was where Move’s energy existed. She then closed her eyes, and placed her index fingers and middle fingers together while interlocking the rest. “Ancient powers heed my cry . . .”
Suddenly Move’s energy appeared before her and shot forward. Instead of hitting her however, it swirled around her rapidly and created an image below her of the knight’s sword. She suddenly opened her eyes and separated her fingers, placing her arms out to her sides as a blue aura surrounded her body. “Allow the force to fly!” Suddenly, Move’s energy quickly stoped and froze in place, which allowed Ceaira to smile. She then concentrated and caused the image below her to change. After shifting like ripples in water, the image showed to her a point just above the knight’s form. “Take me to that point! Move Gem!”
Just as she commanded, Ceaira found herself appearing in the air above the mysterious knight. Letting a large smile appear on her face, she twirled her crossbow and grasped it, pointing it up to the sky as a large mass of energy gathered at the arrow point. “Move and Create Gems! Return to your powers confined!” Ceaira then pulled the trigger, causing a large mass of energy to shoot up from the sky and shower down all around her and the knight. The red energy which represented Move left her body, while the knight slowly became a mass of dark green energy. Back at the dumpster, a small stream of the same energy escaped and shot across the sky to join with the knight upon arriving in the park Both energies began to decrease in quantity and changed their shape until two small circular objects were left behind. Ceaira dropped down to the ground to land on her feet, letting both of the freshly created gems fall into her hands. Aquilia cheered and chirped victoriously as she flew over and perched herself on Ceaira’s shoulder. “Way to go Ceaira! That was a great idea doing a duel seal!” “Well I couldn’t take them on one at a time because the other would have taken advantage of the situation. I thought ahead this time and came up with the duel seal.” “Now it’ll make your captures much easier if you have to deal with two more at once in the future.” “That’s right.”
Ceaira smiled while Aquilia let out another chirp, but then she was tackled by Sakura and the others upon their arrival back to the ground. The entire group fell to the ground and piled on top of the older teenager, causing her to squirm like crazy. “Hey guys! Get off of me!” “No way Ceaira! This is a victory dog pile!” “Can’t we just do a group hug instead? You’re all crushing me! Especially Keroberos! You gotta cut down on the pudding you know!” “Are you saying I’m fat?!” “No!”
After a few minutes, everyone finally gave in and got up off of Ceaira. After she climbed up off the ground, everyone gathered close and went into a giant group hug which lasted for a few seconds before everyone pulled away. Keroberos transformed back into his smaller form, then flew over to Sakura. As he sat on her head, Madison walked over to Ceaira, camera in hand. “So it was Move and Create? Can we see? And can I get it on video?” “Sure!” The GemCaptor flashed a smile, then held out the two new gems in her collection. The Create Gem had an image of a writing quill and a pad of paper, while Move had a pair of small red wings which appeared to by flying. After she was sure everyone got a good look, Ceaira placed the gems in her crossbow slot, then closed it and reverted her weapon back to it’s pendant form. “Well, now that we’ve conquered that situation, who’s up for ice cream?! My treat!” “I could go for that!” “Me too!” “Same here!” “ICE CREAM!” “Can I have a pudding pop?” “You guys! Calm down!” “Yeah right!” Meilin’s comment caused everyone to burst out laughing, then calmed down as Ceaira let out a happy sigh. “Gotta love being captors of the Clow!”
As the gang celebrated, the winds suddenly picked up and blew through the trees as they bore new cherry blossoms at the tips of the branches. Some of the petals were pulled away, forcing them to be carried on the breeze throughout the city. It continued to fly until it reached the radio tower’s platform, falling to land near two mysterious beings standing against the sunset. One had shoulder length hair and dragon wings, plus an unusual costume. In its hand was a large black and silver trident. The other being had shoulder length as well, only it seemed more straight and there was a bandana with a silver star piece on the left side. It had a shadowed battle costume which consisted of some kind of shirt and long sleeved shirt, and heeled ankle boots.
The one with wings sighed to themself, then kneeled down and picked up the fragile petals. It then held them in its hands, staring at their beauty. “This city has so much beauty . . .” “Yeah, a lot more than back home.” The two nodded, then looked toward the park, where they both saw the gang calming down from their victory celebration. As they left the park, the two beings looked away and toward each other with serious looks in their eyes. “There she is . . .but was it wise to arrive so early though?” “I need to see her strength . . .and how powerful her magic is so I may prepare for the future. You didn’t have to come with me you know.” “I have my role as well . . .and I possessed a perfect body to travel around in.” “Just don’t blow it. The situation at hand is much too important to meddle up.” “Fine. So when do we begin phase one?” “Very shortly my friend . . .very soon.” “Excellent.”
The two beings nodded to each other, then turned away and disappeared in the wind as they walked out of sight. A stream of cherry blossoms floated by the tower once more before the moon disappeared behind a large mass of clouds.

The Kayo Gems

“Each gem that is captured has a mystical seal . . .a new mystifying gem today we shall reveal . . .”
The Kayo box is dark blue with the image of a golden eagle on the lid. It suddenly flipped opened and tipped over, causing all the gems inside to spill out onto the ground. they all bounced around, but one landed and spun around on one side. it then fell over into it’s flat side to reveal the image to be a large string puppet standing on a stage.
      “Manipulation Gem!”
Ceaira’s arms lost total control as the puppet forced her to fire her arrows at Sakura, Li, and Meilin. The three dodge the shots, then Sakura quickly summons Change and transfers Ceaira’s powers into Li. Sakura and Meilin hold off the manipulated Ceaira while Li uses the Kayo power to defeat Manipulation and seal it. The Manipulation Gem is then shown again before bursting into a dark yellow light.

Kero’s Corner

“Hey there Card fans! It’s once again time for Kero’s corner and today’s segment talks about the gang’s means of transportation!”
Kero then turns on the small TV to show a split screen shot of Sakura roller-blading and Ceaira riding her bike.
“As you can see, age usually determines the type of transportation. Li, Meilin, Madison, and Sakura all like to roller-blade everywhere, while Ceaira and most of the senior high students prefer a good ol’ bicycle.”
He then changes the channel to show a shot of Sakura, Li, Meilin, and Madison wearing and sporting their roller-blading equipment.
“The color of the roller-blades depends on who’s using them. Sakura likes red equipment with a touch of yellow. Li likes green, Madison likes blue, and Meilin prefers yellow with a touch of .”
Kero smiled then flies closer until his face is almost right up again the camera lens.
      “And now, check out this!”
He changes the channel once again to show a shot of Ceaira’s bicycle.
“Ceaira’s more mature and has a hard time roller-blading in her school uniform, so she’s gone with a bike. As you can see, the bars are dark blue, and anything else is either white or yellow. Pretty cool eh?”
The next scene shows Kero putting on some roller-blading equipment that’s mostly white with touches of black. As he puts in his helmet, he turns toward the camera once again.
“So as I said previously, the mode of transportation in which people like to take totally depends on what kind of personality and attitude are present. These modes look and are fun, but always remember to wear the right protective gear, and ALWAYS WEAR YOUR HELMET! That’s all for that so see ya later!”
He waves then gets up to attempt to roller-blade, but as the scene fades out he falls and lands on his back.
      “Ouch . . .”
