The Nightmare Gem is one of the more frightening Kayo Gems because he has the ability to see what exactly frightens you, then transforms it into a gruesome and horrific nightmare. The worst part is, anything that hpapens to you in the nightmare has an effect on your in the real world. In Episode 5, Ceaira found this out personally. Nightmare takes on the form of a cloaked man who carries around a staff with a crystal orb. This orb is the source of his power, but he can repair it.
Ceaira's nightmare were filled with painful memories of the past and a horrific premonition which seemed like it could happen. Nightmare took on the form of Hannya Syona, but Ceaira saw through the form after being captured. She defeated Nightmare however through Hannya's help, and through her own magic. When summoned, Nightmare can invade the mind of the opponent and show them their greatest fear.
