This model was built straight from the box, but I utilized the paint instructions from the larger 1/1400 scale AMT/ERTL Enterprise-D model kit to add detail, which was severely lacking on this small model.
I photocopied the paint template for the "Aztec" pattern from the 1/1400 model instructions down to 1/2500 scale, hand cut the "Aztec" pattern in three-inch masking tape, transferred the tape to the model and then hand painted the
pattern.
The lifeboats were all hand painted onto the model using the same template as a location guide.
The windows were added using a fine tip marker.
This is the only model I kept from my first attempt at this small scale.
