¤The Cottage¤

I just finished talking to my parents and they agreed! Well, at least on the condition that the summer was a trial period, and if Brooke's parents didn't think that we were responsible enough we wouldn't get to do it. On the bright side, why should they? I mean, all of us are incredibly responsible, especially Marie, so no worries there.

Now I'll go more into depth on what the cottage is like. I didn't really before because I wasn't sure this would work out, and why get my hopes up, right?

The cottage is at the back of the estate, as I previously stated. When you drive in you see a small garden fence running along the front lawn and an arch where the gate is, both covered in emerald green ivy. Then when you enter the yard there's a wide area of green lawn in front of a perfect little beach house style cottage, the front covered in the same ivy, and roses and pansies lining the front.

French doors lead into an amazing front hall, which is more like a separate room. There's an antique carpet on the hard-wood floor and a wrought iron spiral staircase leading up to the second floor. At the back of the hall there is a door that leads to the main bathroom.

The bathroom is very relaxing with a Jacuzzi tub with jets and the works built in. It's done in soft pastel colors and filled with vanilla & blueberry scented candles.

If you turn to your left you will enter a very chick, modern living room. The living room also has a hard-wood floor. If you go through the living room, there are a set of sliding glass doors that lead to a breakfast room/porch that is screened in, and through another set of doors is the pool area.

If you turn right when you enter the front hall you go into an awesome dining room, everything is glass and wrought iron. In the dining room there is a swinging door leading to the ultimate kitchen. It's incredibly up to date with the most high tech appliances you can buy.

If you choose to go up the stairs you'll end up on the second floor, which has 4 bedrooms. The hall of the second floor is also hard-wood and has an antique carpet running down it. A banister is placed on one side, over which you can see into the hall and living room, as the hall is made to present itself as a sort of balcony.

Brooke's room is right at the top of the stairs, Marie's is at the top but to the right, and down the hall beside Brooke's is Erin's room. Which leaves mine at the opposite end of the hall from Marie.

All the rooms are carpeted with soft fluffy cream colored carpets, and furnished with turn-of-the-century stained oak queen-sized water beds, armoire and dresser with a huge mirror. My room is down in soft blues, Erin's in greens, Brooke's in yellows, and Marie's in pinks.

Beside my room is the second bathroom with a shower and all the necessities. It's done in soft yellow, creams, and whites.

In the pool area, you will find all of our lounge chairs, a barbecue, a hot tub, and of course, the pool.

If you back into the kitchen you'll see a door leading to the basement. When you go through the door and down the steps you enter a teens haven. As mentioned earlier, In the middle of the room sits the pool table, then there's an overstuffed pull out couch, some beanbag chairs, and some more overstuffed lazy-boy recliners. Then there's the 52" TV with it's 300+ channels, a surround sound stereo which is hooked up to both the $1,500 stereo system and the TV, and of course an area that's cleared for dances.

I think that's all I can say about the cottage, except I think I forgot it's name. We decided to call it "Angel's Garden" because of the flower beds, and how gorgeous it looks, inside and out.
