The last couple shows were cancelled and Brian informed the rest of the guys that Nick admitted that he had an eating disorder to him and was willing to go into rehab.
Brian visited Nick on a daily basis. It surprised him with how much weight Nick really had lost in the last year, his weight at 107 now. At least 70 to 80 pounds lighter then he had been before.
One day, during their visits, Brian brought up a subject.
"Do you want Cari to come visit you? She's been asking about you a lot."
"Um, I'm not ready to see anyone else yet." Nick hung his head low.
"Okay. Ah, I think some one seen you coming in here. There was something on ET about you being in rehab for something. There are rumors it is for drugs and alcohol. Do you want me to put truth to what they're saying?"
"Please. And tell them I'm doing okay now."
"That counseling is helping." Brian chuckled.
"Yeah. So how is Cari?"
"Good. She really misses you. All the best wishes to you."
"I really love her , Bri. I can't believe she still loves me after what I said to her that night."
"Well, that is just how much she loves you."
"Will she be mad to know that I don't want to see her? I mean, if she still loves me, then she probably wants to come talk to me."
"No, all she wants is for you to get better so you two can start over again."
"But I was so mean to her. How can she still love me?"
"Well, Who did you tell me you were here for?"
"Cari."
"And she knows that. She won't stop asking about you. There's some things about life you can't change. And how someone feels about you is one of those things."
"Okay." Nick sighed.
"So, how much weight have you gained since coming here?"
"35 pounds, so I am back in the safe zone. I still look thin, and my body still wants to throw it back up, but it's getting better."
"Good. We look forward to you getting out of here so we can go on tour and be a group again."
"You have to thank the guys for excepting this."
"You tell me that every time I come here." Brian laughed. For once Nick actually joined in the laughter, making Brian smile to no end.
"Mr. Littrell, visiting hours are up." A supervisor said, interrupting the laughter.
"Thanks. I'll see you tomorrow, Frack."
"Kay. Later, Frick."
