"Nick. I'm not leaving." Brian informed his best friend.
"GO! I am fucking sick, and I want to be alone!" Nick cried.
" You are not sick. You just don't know what is happening to you. Why don't you start from the beginning. Tell me everything." Brian said, trying to sooth Nick as much as possible.
Nick took in a deep breath. He wiped his eyes of the tears, then began.
"About a year ago, I realized that I wasn't loosing any weight, even with the working out. I tried going on a diet and that didn't work either. One day, BJ said that she and a friend were in a major fight because BJ just found out that her friend was bulimic. Then she explained that in just 4 months Eve lost over 40 pounds. I thought it could work for me. So I tried for a little while and I found I was actually loosing weight, so I continued...then I just couldn't stop." Nick whispered most of the story, often stopping to regain his composure.
"This has been going on for a year and you haven't said anything?" Brian sounded disappointed in his best friend.
"You think it would be easy for me to just come up to you some day and say, 'Oh, by the way, I like to puke up everything I eat?" Nick snapped.
"Sorry. Nick, you should have come to us. Is this the first time you've thrown up blood?"
Nick slowly shook his head.
"Do you want to get better?" Brian tried.
To this Nick did nothing.
"Please. Nick. All the guys are worried about you. Cari is even worried."
"C...C...Cari still cares?" Nick whispered.
"Yes. Nick. She's the one who told us you were loosing weight. She still loves you. Do you love her?" Brian lied a little but he didn't want Nick to upset him.
"With all my heart. Does she still want to be with me even after what I did to her?"
"Yes. But only if you get better."
"Then. I'll do it. I'll do it for Cari." Nick whispered. "But will you keep this a secret? Please." Nick pleaded.
"Okay. This will be our secret. But you have to promise that during the 3 month break you'll go to rehab."
Nick paused, but then Cari's smile filled his mind and he realized what he was missing.
"I promise. I will do it for Cari." Nick declared.
