Later that day, everyone was at the concert venue getting read for the 3 concerts that they were going to be performing there over the next few days. The girls had all gone out to get the lunch for everyone. Melanie and Alice decided to stay back and watch the rehearsal that the boys were putting on. Just then, Jared walked into the venue and turned off the music.
"Can I have everyone's attention, please." He yelled. Melanie and Alice saw that behind him was a girl…blonde…tall…and looked kinda familiar. Alice looked over and it seemed as if Nick had noticed whom it looked like.
Nick tapped Brian on the shoulder and turned almost pale.
"Is that Serenity?" whispered Nick.
"Sure looks like it, don't it?" Brian replied.
"Stop talking. This is the replacement dancer. I guess she's been training as an understudy for a long time and everyone says that she is ready." Jared said, as everyone wiped the sweat off their foreheads and drank water.
"Trinity!" Danny exclaimed and ran over and gave the girl a hug.
"This is Trinity Williams, Danny's sister and Serenity's twin." Jared continued.
"Not good." Nick muttered. Brian heard him and elbowed him in the stomach. "What?"
"She may not be as bad as her sister." Brian whispered. "Plus, you're taken."
"Yeah. I wonder if Alex and I are going to come out to the world." Nick started to break out into an unstoppable smile as soon as he mentioned Alex's name.
"I don't know Nick." Brian laughed.
"Now, everyone get back to work." Jared yelled, then left almost a suddenly as he came. Melanie went over and started the music back up and the group went back to work and Melanie and Alice watched to see how good Trinity was. Every step was executed in perfection.
"She's good." Alice commented.
"Yeah. I hope she doesn't act like her sister. But did you see Nick's face when she walked in? I think that he thought it was her." Melanie said. Alice's face fell long and she walked down to the front row and sat there, leaving Melanie sitting on the edge of the stage. "Alice? What's wrong?"
"Have you ever had a dream of being with some one?" Alice asked.
"Not really. I'm too outspoken to keep it to myself if I like someone."
"Well, what would you do if one of your best friends was with the only guy you lust over?"
"Give up on him, unless they broke up." Melanie replied, sitting beside her. "Why? Wait. Do you still like Nick?"
Alice only nodded.
"You do know that him and Alex got back together and I have a feeling that they aren't going to be breaking up any time soon."
"I know, but it is hard. I mean, Jon and I have casual sex, but I don't know if I want to pursue any thing with him."
"Alice, you are trying to compete against 6 years of love. Mike and I have been together since the night we met, and he tells me that when they went on tour with them last time, even while with Serenity, Nick would always listen to her albums, he bought her new one the day it came out and that you barely had to mention her name without a saddened look overcoming his face. But he would deny it if you asked if he was still in love with her. But because they have been together, I don't think you even have a slight chance." Melanie whispered.
"You think I don't know that?"
"Sorry. Just, don't get your heart broken." Melanie warned. The song ended and Kevin announced that rehearsal was over.
