Brian and Leighanne walked on the bus and emptied out their bags. Wanting to talk to her cousin, Leighanne opened the curtain the was pulled across Alex's bunk. There she found it empty. Thinking maybe Alex and Nick were sleeping in his bunk, Leighanne then opened that curtain. No one.
She turned to Brian who just shrugged. They saw AJ and Amanda sitting at the front of the bus, and Brian decided to ask.
"AJ, have either Alex or Nick come on the bus this morning?" Brian asked as the couple snuggled while eating their breakfast, compliments of the hotel.
"Nope. How did things go between them last night? we didn't hear any noise coming from their room." AJ replied, taking a bite out of his bagel.
"Don't know. They said something, but we didn't understand, and they were holding hands, and it looked like they kissed, but we aren't sure." Leighanne yawned, then walked back to her bunk and crawled in, Brian close behind. Not long after, both were in a peaceful sleep, dreaming of their fantasy wedding which was planned for after the tour.
Nick and Alex sauntered in just as the bus getting ready to leave.
"Where the hell have you two been? Everyone has been waiting for you. We have to be in London in 3 hours." Amanda exclaimed, but not loud enough to wake any of the others who were all sleeping.
"Jeez. You guys are allowed to lock us in our room, which you purposely make a booking mistake so that we were sharing a room. Then you make it that we couldn't get a hold of anyone in any way all night, and now you're bitching at us. Can't you let the newest, or should I say the oldest happy couple have a romantic breakfast?" Nick asked.
"Now if you'd excuse us, we'd like to get some sleep before we get to the venue." Alex added, then they walked back to Alex's bunk and both got into the small cramped space, leaving Amanda there with her jaw dangling.
An hour later, Nick woke up with Alex still in his arms, confirming that last night wasn't just a dream. He smiled into her soft hair and something that she had mentioned last night came back to him.
*Flashback*
"Nick?" Alex whispered into the dark as she lay, wrapped in his arms.
"Yes, Alex?"
"Are we officially a couple again?"
"Of course. I'm never letting you heart leave me again."
"Tonight will be the first peaceful nights sleep I'll get since that day at the airport." Alex yawned then smuggled closer to him and soon drifted off into a deep slumber.
"What do you mean by that?" Nick questioned, not getting a response. " Alex? Alexa? Ally?" He repeated until he realized that she was fast asleep. "Sleep well my love." He kissed her forehead, then fell into the same peaceful sleep.
~Present Day~
Nick smiled at Alex, happy she was his once more again, then kissed her forehead. Carefully he got out of the bunk as not to disturb her, and walked out to the kitchen area of the bus. AJ was sitting at the booth writing something.
"Morning AJ." Nick smiled in a sing-song voice as he poured himself a cup of coffee.
"What the hell are you so perky about? And why did you just come from...wait. Did you and Alex finally get back together?" AJ asked, putting his pen and paper away.
"Yeah. After you all locked us in our room, we confessed the feelings we had been hiding from everyone."
"So you got laid for the first time in three years last night. How did it feel?" AJ joked, knowing that Nick never slept with Serenity.
"We only talked last night. We never revealed our feelings until around midnight. But it is so nice that after 3 years we are going to be able to be happily together again." Nick said, a dreamy 'I'm in Love' look on his face.
"You scare me, boy." AJ looked at Nick funny.
"And you scare me. I guess we're even." Nick countered just as Brian entered the eating area.
"Now. Fracky, Fracky, Fracky. What the hell is going on between you and Alex?" Brian asked, putting his arm around Nick's Shoulder.
"What on earth are you talking about?" Nick smiled, acting innocent.
"What the hell is going on between you and my fiancée's cousin? Are you to back together or not?" Brian questioned impatiently.
"Damn, you're no fun first thing in the morning." Nick pouted.
"Answer the damn question!" Brian exclaimed, causing AJ to laugh.
"Chill, man. Fine. Yes we got back together." Nick sighed, hiding the smile that threaten to over come him at the mer mention of Alex's name.
"Good. Now I don't need to listen to whine about her constantly." Brian joked.
"I don't whine." Nick mock whined.
