Also of Note:

1. On Halloween, don't collect candy, collect pennies for IDD! You're too old for candy anyway.
2. The Elementary Schools in West Hempstead need Goodie Bags for Halloween. We need volunteers to make around 600 of them. The goodie bags will be distributed on October 29, 1999.
3. The Candy Corn Guess is now open in the Guidance Office. It's only twenty-five cents per guess (Which technichally, makes this gambling). The winner recieves a gift certificate to Tower Records.
4. Can't make the trip to a Divisonal Meeting? Read the minutes, it takes half the time, and is half as fun! Miutes for 23 September, 1999.
5. Dues are here! The total amount for yearly dues is only $12! Please hand them in at the next Key Club meeting. Visit the Glossary page for a breakdown of dues.
6. Read And Lead has started! Need directions? Simply click here. Or, if you prefer, you can also click here. If you need a ride to the Island Park Library, mee outside the High School at 15:00 (3:00PM).
7. WHIP Key Club will be marching in the WH Homecoming Parade. The parade is October 9, 1999 Come one, come all.
8. On the 16^th of October is the KC Garage Sale. It's happening in the biggest driveway we could find, the one in front of the HS. Volunteers and Donations needed and aprreciated. The sale will run from 09:00-15:00 (9:00AM-3:00PM).
9. It is my distinct honor to announce the Key Club Divisional. It is on October 19, 1999 at Elmont HS @ 19:45 (7:45PM). However, this is only open to those KC members in LISCW. And, IP is not encompassed by that. Sorry.
10. The WHIP Thanksgiving Food Drive will be starting soon. Will your class be the one that usurps Ms. Bland's One Year Run? All food will be donated to families in West Hempstead and Island Park.
11. The New York District wants to select a Mascot and Motto for Key Club. If you have any suggestions, e-mail them to whkc@angelfire.com, or you can make your suggestions next meeting in person. Either way, we will foward them ot the NYD HQ. Suggestions are due by January 15, 2000
12. Halloween (which by the Gregorian Calendar falls out on the 31st of October this year) weekend, there will be a Kiwanis Family East Conference in Black Mountain Hills, North Carolina for all NYD underclassmen Key Clubbers interested. The conference is with the Kiwanis Family - meaning Kiwanians, Circle-Kers, and Key Clubbers. The purpose is to learn more about what the K-Family is all about and to become better leaders. THe weekend is filled with small group activities and huge ice breakers. It is a great way to meet Key Clubbers from across the Eastern Coast.
13. The Making Strides for Breast Cancer is Sunday October 17. For more info, e-mail us.
