Second part of the experiments

Materials:
One compass
One bar magnet.


1. Hold the compass away from the magnet.
2.  Notice where the arrow is pointing.
3.  Bring the compass close to the magnet.
4.  Find the bar magnet's NORTH POLE.
5.  Draw a diagram of the magnet and the compass showing how the compass is pointing to the bar magnet's north pole.
6.  Do you think the bar magnet has a south pole?

What did we learn from this?
1. That Magnets have a north pole.
2. Magnets have two sides.
3. Magnets must also have a south pole.
