Second part of the experiments
Materials:
A piece of paper.
Metallic dust (comes in most magnet kits)
One bar magnet.
| 1. Lay the paper over the magnet. |
| 2. Sprinkle the metal dust over the paper. |
| 3. Do this until a pattern is shown. |
| 4. Notice a looping pattern? |
| 5. Draw a diagram of the magnet and the patterns. |
| 6. What do you think is making the pattern? |
What did we learn from this?
1. That Magnets effect certain items which are close to them.
2. Magnets have a force field around them.
