French Model 1815 Musket and possibly captured by the British
and Re fitted with an
English Lock, it has English & French proof stamps on the
30 inch French barrel, tang
dated states 1815. The Lock is specially made,(quite possibly
at the Tower Armories). This
Has The CROWN & G.R. on the plate with TOWER stamped at the
rear. A Tower
Armories Re-Fit for a contract shipment of arms to Possibly to
America. The stock date is 1819.
