Howard Horwitz, Ph.D.
is the Director of Mt. Laurel Center for the Family. He is a licensed Psychologist, Marriage, and Family Therapist, and a Trainer in Comprehensive Family Therapy. He has presented to national conferences of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the International Conference on Infant Studies, North American Conference for Orthodox Judaism and Mental Health, and the International Conference on Juvenile Firesetting. Dr. Horwitz holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Temple University.


Susan Speranza, LCSW, CAC
is the Associate Director of the MLCF. Her eighteen years of clinical and administrative experience includes Administrative Director of Hampton Hospital Outpatient Services; Director of Social Work at Graduate Hospital; and consultant to Penn Friends, Belmont Center, Kirkbridge Center and Underwood-Memorial Hospital. She is a Certified Addictions Counselor and member of Alpha Phi Sigma National Honor Society.

Alicia Bashian, M.S.W., L.S.W.
holds a Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University School of Social Work, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from State University of N.Y. (SUNY). She specializes in the treatment of adolescents, is certified in bereavement counseling by Trinity Hospice, and is an accomplished musician and music educator.

Claire Gold, Ed.M., L.P.C.
is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She specializes in the treatment of individuals, couples, and cases of infidelity and divorce. She also has extensive training in the field of drug and alcohol prevention and intervention and is an expert in the area of Employee Assistance.
