The Bucher FamilyFirst Generation A Hans Martin BOUGHER b. c1715 in Baden, Germany. On 8 Oct. 1737 he arrived in PA aboard the “Charming Nancy.” In Jun. 1741, he m. Elizabeth BOMBERGER (see BOMBERGER A6). He d. 1779 in Warwick, PA and requested that his grave be unmarked. He is buried in the Bomberger Cemetery. Children of Elizabeth & Martin are: Christian (A1), Mary (A2), Elizabeth (A3), Ann (A4), Barbara (A5), Susanna (A6), Martin (A7), Joseph* (A8) & John (A9). Second Generation A1 Christian BUCHER b. 27 Mar. 1742 and d. 27 Dec. 1825. On 5 Apr. 1768 he m. Veronica BRENNEMAN. A2 Mary BUCHER b. c1743 and d. 1819. She m. Joseph HERSHEY and later Abraham HESS. A3 Elizabeth BUCHER b. c1745 in Warwick, PA and d. 1806 in Warwick. She m. Abraham HUBER. A4 Ann BUCHER b. c1747 and m. John HESS. A5 Barbara BUCHER b. c1748 in Warwick. She m. ??? GOOD. A6 Susanna BUCHER b. c1750 in Warwick. She m. Melchoir BRENNEMAN III. A7 Martin BUCHER b. c1752 in Lancaster Co., PA. He m. Anna MARTIN and he d. 1818 in Drumore Twp., Lancaster Co., PA. A8 Joseph BUCHER b. 6 Sep. 1755 and d. Sep. 1804. About 1782 he m. Elizabeth EBY (see EBY A111511). She was b. 13 Mar. 1762 and d. 19 Aug. 1832 in Warwick, PA. Joseph & Elizabeth are buried in the Bomberger Cemetery near Lititz, PA. Their children: Anna (A81), Jonas (A82), Elizabeth (A83), Maria* (A84), Susan (A85), Barbara (A86), Veronica (A87) & Catherine (A88). Third Generation A81 Anna BUCHER b. 16 Oct. 1780 in Lancaster Co. About 1800 she m. Abraham HOSTETTER in Manheim. She d. 11 Dec. 1831 and is buried in the Lancaster City Cemetery on Lemon Street in Lancaster. A82 Jonas BUCHER b. 27 Feb. 1783. About 1807 he m. Susan WITWER. Jonas d. 4 Sep. 1864 and is buried in the Bomberger Cemetery. A83 Elizabeth BUCHER b. 25 Jun. 1785 and d. 25 Sep. 1858. She is buried in the Bomberger Cemetery. She m. Daniel BRUBAKER (see BRUBAKER A11511722). A84 Maria BUCHER* b. 28 Nov. 1787. She m. Joseph BRUBAKER* (see BRUBAKER A11511723). Maria d. 14 Feb. 1858 and is buried in the Bomberger Cemetery. A85 Susan BUCHER m. Henry BECKER. A86 Barbara BUCHER m. Christian WEIS. A87 Veronica BUCHER b. c1790 in Lancaster Co where she also died. She m. George HUBER.
