Maybe you are among the lucky few that doesn’t need to quantify everything that happens in your life. I used to be among you however I have since begun to see life for what it is, a God guided experience. When things unfold in my life I look for the Hand of the architect and somehow never come away without being amazed. Skillet’s song Rise overcame me recently and sharing it seems the only responsible thing to do.

The lyrics command you to take an quiet look at your life to see the mess that ALL of us has created. Grant you, many of those who read this may not dabble in throwing a hand grenade into a hurricane, just to watch as it spins in chaos trying to escape the flame. But we all recognize that yesterday is gone, faster than the blast of a car bomb.

So when we look at our lives in an introverted retrospection and see the shattered pieces that lay behind. When we see all the pain in a world we made, both individually and collectively as a society, we can then decide what needs to be done.

We need to rise in revolution against the intolerances, the subjectives and the undisclosed. We need to demand more from ourselves and stand not for what is convenient but for what is right, and just and God guided. Anything is possible through Christ who strengthens us.

Remove from our lives, the frustrations, obsessions and addictions, the fear, lonliness and sickness. Let us rise in revolution from the ashes, by Your stripes, our scars heal, release us from the pain of our own undoing.

As our hope burns bright and the darkness in our lives fade away, let us see the light of a brand new day. Our future is here and now, here comes the countdown, its time to RISE.

Thank you Skillet for your inspiration to all the panheads out here. May we all unite and RISE.
