In one of those unbelievable phrases of praise, the song of the redeemed rang true. What actually was the sound of the redeemed, I wondered. What song could ever be sung that would justify the act of redemption?

It isn’t so complicated really, you don’t have to be a wizard of lyrical masterpieces. Redemption is the act of delivering from sin or saving from evil. That is a huge undertaking for a person like me. like most of us, I probably would be horrified to have listed before me the list of my transgressions.

for those whose hearts have been broken by inconsiderations, healing is the song of redemption If you have been set loose from the bonds and chains of addictions, that freedom becomes the song of the redeemed. when goodness overcomes evil, the redemptive power is unmistakable. the lost find their way and those shrouded in darkness see light because redemption is real.

The Bible speaks of redemption in endearing terms. The redeemed shall be saved from the hands of the foe, and from the hands of the enemy, there will be no shame nor will faces be pale. And still that no ferocious beast will be found among them, but only those with the song of the redeemed in their hearts will walk there and their lips will shout for joy, singing praises of the Word. .Your offenses have been swept away like a morning cloud and your sins like the morning mist have faded.

Joy will be heard, love will be shared, and there will be acceptance without judgment. Families working together in the fields, spreading seeds and reaping the reward of their harvest. Fears that can’t find a stronghold to destroy, envy and deceit replaced with glad tiding and truth. Only communities of diversity, encouraging and supporting one another rather then showing petty bitterness and contempt can succeed.

the newsboys song, He Reigns sings this,” Of all the songs sung from the dawn of creation Some were meant to persist Of all the bells rung from a thousand steeples None rings truer than this”

They clearly are speaking of the songs and bells of the redeemed in this powerful message. Raise your hands in the air and place your burdens, cares and worries at the foot of His cross, repent yourself and join with others in the choir singing the song of the redeemed.
