9/20/2000 - Don't remember too much about this one either except all of the other bands in our school are unprofessional -- we were slated to go last and ended up going first because nobody was ready to go (albino rhino), or wanted to go first (rob eggers), or wanted to go anywhere but last (everybody, but mostly tyler price's crew). So we ended up going first and sucked and that's all we'll say. There were lots of couches backstage though -- that was cool.

9/17/2000 - Don't remember too much about this show since it was forever ago. It was our first time playing acoustic and it went really well. We played wonderful acoustic versions of Red Sky, The Fishing Song, The Demon Song, (we have too many songs with the word song in them), Grey's Ghost, the No Name Bitch, Strawberry Stars, Oct. 3rd and Rockin' in the Free World!! The gas light is a really cool place, especially outside in the dark with all the lights and stuff -- the deck was relativly full with lots of people that we didn't know!

7/28/2000 - Ohhhhhh... Can we say surprise pop up show? Can we ever. Derek didn't even know about it. Of course he didn't, it was his surprise party. Anyway, Derek's mom gave me a call the other day and she was like, dude, we're having a surprise party for derek on friday and you guys can play and whatnot. Then she said no gifts unless they were joke gifts. So Derek was the proud recipciant of a Tea Set from Tommy and a bikini from somebody else. (his mom did say joke gifts didn't she... doesn't that mean stuff that he wouldn't normally use....hehe) OK, anyway we played a short powerful set and pretty much had a blast. Especially when the Squeegee Man Theme was denied by the other members of the band. It's kind of a surprise what happened but if you want to hear the events unfold click here. I just wish you could see my evil grin!!! But the real fun came later on that night. Me and Tom did nice acapella versions of Rappers Delight and L-Train and then we did improv on Waste which is always a blast. Then we reached back to our roots and did a full band version of Bloody Dreams which always goes out to our ninth grade english class but the irony is, the only two times we've ever played it none of them has been in attendance. We were having a blast and decided to do some more covers and we did Iron Boots and Self Esteem. Then I decided to do a solo version of Baba O'Reilly which pretty much sucks without drums but it's fun anyway. Then Tom and I sang a few songs together and closed out the night with Slowly. Nick compared our singalong with drunkin karioke and he was just about right. Those of you who missed it... sucks to be you cause we will probably never play those songs again.

7/7/2000 - Not much to say man. Those people who say they love to see us just kinda sit there and even go so far as to look bored at some points. We even had to bribe some people with the sacred mountain dews to get them to dance for one song which we shouldn't have done because they sat right back on their asses after that and drank their dew which was our mistake, how are you supposed to dance with a can of dew anyway? We should have held the dew until after the show and given it to the four best dancers for the whole show except we probably would have had to give them to ourselves. I must say that Tommy's sister and her boyfriend had the right idea in slow dancing during a lovely live debut of Strawberry Stars.

6/3/2000 - The Sad Cafe is without question the coolest place we have ever played and possibly the best show we have ever played. The place is beautiful with nice wooden chairs and tables, a dance floor, a carpeted stage and a great atmosphere. If you get the chance please support them because they might be going out of business which would suck for all of us. Finally we had monitors that we could hear ourselves with and we could perform a good soundcheck. We were also greatly inspired by the "Table 9 Chicks" who made T-Shirts in honor of us!! The rest of the crowd was made up of other people, most of whom were supporting the other band, Fit, who was excellent. We kicked it off with Raincoat and went into the Fishing Song. Everything was going great until I snapped a string right at the beginning of Crazy Times. I grabbed Tommy's SG which served me excellently for the rest of the night! Frostbite got a big cheer from the crowd and included the "gimpy toe" line. :-) Demon Song, going great, but, snapped another string :-( Guitar Tech Craig (Who had never changed a guitar string in his life) was not done with my strat so I changed the string while the rest of the band did an excellent jam. One of the members of Fit commented that "breaking strings sucks" and then commented that Craig was off smoking pot instead of changing the string like he was supposed to. This led to the "drugs and parties are bad" speach which is very important and you can hear it here. Craig got a big cheer when he came back with my guitar in the middle of Funkin Hardcore Delight which rocked all over the place. The guy from Fit then screamed that his only regret was that only one of us could get him pregnent. I quickly laid the blame on Nick but he didn't hear what the guy said which made it all the more funny. The No Name Bitch was dedicated to Jenn (awwww). The Blues Jam was kind of softer and groovier than usual and I'm finally starting to get most of the lyrics to Slinkies Elixor right. (I still screwed up a couple of times) Our set was closed with a classic October Third which featured Me and Tommy doing the 'Ed and Jeff lean'. It was great to hear Nick's solo for the first time live as the monitors were doing great. After the show, Caitlin and Abby got in a fight over someones setlist and ruined it which is really too bad but that shows the kind of dedicated fans we have. They never dance though. Thanks to everybody who came, especailly the Table 9 chicks, Lauren, Craig, Amanda, Kira and my Mom. Fit played after us and they can kick ass on some nineties metal covers as well as a couple of originals. We got to sign the wall which includes great bands such as Voodoo Chili and a whole bunch more. It was quite an honor. Please, please support the Sad Cafe, the place is awesome and is run by great people and it would be a shame if it was shut down. We will be playing there again on friday July 7th, come and see us, we rock.

6/2/2000 - The Pit Party, what can I say, I'm still recovering from it. Oh wait, we're not allowed to call it a party, parties are bad. We weren't allowed to call it schoolapalooza either for some wierd reason. So, we spent all afternoon setting up the PA and stage. Thanks so much to Rob, Nick and Nate for the use of their PA. Soundcheck was very hectic and probably not as good as we would have liked. This meant that the sound was not great for the whole show (especally during our set) but it was OK. Despite all of this we managed to get started only about five minutes late. The Ex-Voodoo Chili band kicked the show off with some nice jazz stuff featuring MVO on the tenor sax. Then it was time for some Blind Weasel, who played the best that I have ever seen them. The Baloney Ponies played next, also featuring MVO as well as DMX (well kind of) and Dave White singing Lets Get it On. We followed the Baloney Ponies(A tough act to follow) but more on our set later. Plaster was up next with that solid punk attitude and they were followed by Seeds of Cadence, featuring Tyler Price. Now this is a band that is going somewhere. This is without question, the best band in Oyster River right now and I'm really excited for them. They have an original blend of Jazz and Rap that is impossible to not be moving around. Tyler had the majority of the crowd on their feet throughout his set, an excellent way to close off the evening. The audience was excellent for the whole show even though they were sitting for most of it. :-( $250 was raised and will be donated to the Corey Stover fund. (see below) OK, our set wasn't really anything special. We played the same stuff as last week with the addition of Tommy singing the blues which was just average. Nothing really excting happened except Dave Whites introduction which revealed that Derek and Nick were models in Hollywood before they joined Table 9. The whole show just went so well, from the great crowd to all of the people that helped out to all of the talented musicians. Without Tom the show would not have happened. He did all of the organization and there were a few pit meetings where he was the only person there. Also thanks to Paul Poor and Matt Bower for showing up at meetings as well as Dave White and Mike Dee. Thanks again to the Chilies for the PA. Thanks to Frankie and the sophomore class for selling drinks. Thanks to Ashley Mills for helping with lighting. Thanks to the Janitors for doing Janitorial stuff. Thanks to all of the teacher and parent chaperones most specifically Mr. Knight. Thanks to the Administration for letting us do this. Thanks to the Police for not showing up (we don't have to pay them now). Most of all thanks to all of the bands and all of the people who came to the show. Without these people the show would not have happened.

5/26/2000 - So, last night we made the 1.5 hr trek to Milford to play a benefit for Nick's friend Corey, who has cancer. We kicked off the show that featured many great Milford area bands including our pals "Jolly Trolley" who played that party with us back in december. I also met my friend Chaim (Frontman of "Three Good Looking Guys") who I went to camp with 2 years ago and hadn't seen since. I did not know he was going to be there and it was a great surprise. You should go see those bands sometime, as well as TLC (much cooler than the pop group) and PMP, who we didn't get to see cause we left too early, but heard they were incredible. We kicked off our set with Slinkies Elixor which we hadn't played in a while, I sang and messed up a few times but, it's all good because not many people were there anyway at that time. More people came during the Fishing Song and Oct 3 (Live debut for both) and I had a nice little section of about 7 people in the front who I graciously shared my water with. I also took a picture of them, they rocked! This one girl was laughing her ass off during the Fishing Song which is good because it's supposed to be a humorous song. We finished our set with Frostbite and that thing we call the Blues Jam, by which time there were plenty of people there. We broke down the set and went off to Taco Bell for some serious Gorditas and Mucho Grande's. Mmmmmm. Thanks to Zach for doing sound (and everybody else who worked on this event, it was very well put together)and Jenn for being supportive, listening to our music in the car (Phish - Farmhouse, Pearl Jam - Binaural, and Bob Dylan - The Royal Albert Hall concert), and being mailing list girl. Big thanks to Nick's Mom for driving one car and Taco Bell. Of course thanks to everyone who was there.

3/3/2000 - You missed it. We played the other night at the ORHS coffee house. We played 2 new songs in front of the biggest crowd we've ever played in front of. Actually, if you were there, you didn't miss it.

12/18/99 - For those of you who missed the party we played at, you missed Craig (aaron's brother) rapping it up with Tommy on L-Train. This is a one of a kind experience and those of you who missed it should kick yourselves for not being friends with the hostess of the party. You also missed the live debut of "Frostbite" as well as many other killer classics.
