Ohh... Saffron... a very tough place! The gym leader is difficult,
there is a tough Fighting Dojo next to it, and you ave to beat
Team Rocket again! Ugh! But, there's no better place to get stuff,
as well as test your abilities.
A few houses east of the POKeCENTER is Mr. Psychic's House. He'll
give you TM29, a very good item.
On the northwest corner of town is the Copycat's house. Give
her a POkeDOLL from Celadon, and she'll give you TM31.
At the end of the Fighting Dojo (to the right of the Gym, you'll
get to choose between two POKeMON. On the left is Hitmonlee, the
Kicking Fiend, and my personal favorite. Ont he left is Hitmonchan,
the Punching Master. I think that Hitmonlee is better, because
he has more strong attacks than Hitmonchan, who has some Elemental
Moves, and Mega Punch.
To get the Rocket Gang out of Saffron, which will open up the
doors in the town, you have to get Rocket out of the Silph building.
In the process, you'll get Lapras, and the President will give
you the Master Ball.
There are plenty of places to go from Saffron. North is Cerulean
City, east is Lavender Town,
south is Vermilion City, and
west is Celadon City.
