Amanda was still on Puckworld, thinking about her brother’s everyday and how much she misses them. She sometimes misses her best friend Mallory. Amanda looked through her room, looking for her diary, which was stolen.
“I swear to god Mallory, I’m going to kick your ass for stealing my diary!” Amanda swore, lying on her bed when her book, which she has written her heart and soul, was gone.
On Earth…
“I can’t believe you have Amanda’s diary!” Wildwing said to Mallory.
Mallory was finally caught with Amanda’s diary, by one of her teammates when she was reading it one day in the living quarters. She thought that she was alone, she was spied and was suppose to be a victim of Nosedive’s pranks.
“I didn’t steal it if that’s what you’re thinking!” Mallory snapped at her team captain.
“Then why do you have it?”
“I don’t know really. I found it on the ground and Amanda was out of sight and I decided to keep it for safe keeping.”
“And decide to read it.”
“In way yeah.”
“Why do you do that?”
“Amanda and I shared our secrets, but when she stole my who is my ex boyfriend when we were together, I got really pissed off at her.”
“I think it the job she did.”
“Duck vampire slaying.”
“I think so.”
“Amanda, your baby sister, betrayed me!”
“In what way?”
“I don’t know what way. When I told everyone that sweet little Amanda was a duck vampire slayer, everyone stayed away from her, and her boyfriend broke up with her. She found out that I told everyone and got serious revenge on me.”
“Someone has to slay all of the duck vampires on Puckworld. You should be lucky that she’s your friend.”
Suddenly, Nosedive showed up.
“Hey bro, Mal, what’s Happening?” He said while he walked up to his teammate and his big brother.
“We were just talking about Amanda.”
“You were talking about Mandy?”
“Yeah, sweet little Mandy.” Every word that came out of Mallory’s mouth was sarcasm. “I’m done talking about her, I’m going to go practice.” Mallory left.
“What’s her problem?”
“She’s pissed off at Amanda.” Wildwing said.
“I think Mandy is pissed off at Mallory for stealing her diary.” Nosedive said.
“That means if she’s still alive.”
Both turned their heads around to see a blank hallway to see if Mallory was walking away with Amanda’s diary still clutched in her hands. She was long gone, nothing they’re but a blank hallway.
Puckworld…
“Amanda was looking for something to do. Her friends came over one day and did a little hockey competition.
“Amanda.” One of her friends said.
“Hey guys, what’s up?”
“Nothing much.” “Wanna play some Hockey.”
“ “Sure.”
“Amanda and her guy friends went outside to play hockey all day. Suddenly, a portal sucked in Amanda as she was going inside her apartment. Luckily, she had backpack worth of clothes and stuff.
“Earth…
“Amanda was dropped near the pond front side first with a loud thump. Luckily she was wearing her white tank top, black pants and her black boots. Her long black hair was in a ponytail, exposing her full tanned color that her brothers have.
“ “Stupid portal!” Amanda said, getting herself up and brushing the dirt off her body with her hands. “Where the hell am I?”
“There was silence all around her when she decided to walk though the town. It was nighttime and bright stars filled the night’s sky. She grabbed her bad and walked around town.
“An hour later, she walked up to the pond looking at the door, opening the door. A song was playing in the background while she slowly walking around inside the pond.
“ “Hello.” Amanda said. “Is anyone here?”
“She waited for a second for a response from somewhere. But sadly, when there was no voice; there was no answer. She continued on listening to the song that was still playing. It was a slow song. It reminded her of home, her family, friends and other situations. She stumbled on an elevator and went down to the bottom floor. When she got off, she looked around the halls. Suddenly she was in the empty mess hall, sick bay, and their hangar. She liked everything around her. Still no brothers in sight, hopelessly depressed she sat down on a bench
“ “I’ll never find them. Being on separate planets for four stinkin’ years, they probably won’t recognize me.” Said Amanda, taking her pocketknife out of her pocket. “This reminds me of how many duck vampires I stabbed to death.”
“Amanda got up a few minutes later, walking around a bit. She took the elevator again, She landed on the floor that had the Living quarters
“This alarmed the other ducks.
“ “An intruder is coming this way. Get your guns ready!” Wildwing ordered his team.
“Everyone got the puck guns ready to frighten the intruder. When the doors opened, the intruder walked up to them. The shadow of the stranger grew shorter and shorter to a familiar face. Everyone placed their puck guns down and saw the face that half of the team recognized.
“ “You’re not going to aim your guns at your sister are you?” Amanda said.
“There was a long silence… a deep dead silence.
“Amanda, is that you?” Dive said, thinking that his eyes were deceiving him, he thought he saw a ghost of his big sister.
“ “Yes. It’s me.” Amanda said
“Nosedive went to tears as he ran to his holder sister and gave her a hug. Amanda returned the hug and began to have tears in her eyes.
“ “I missed you Mandy.”
“ “I missed you too Dive.” Amanda said between sobs.
“Nosedive let go of the hug Amanda walked over to her older brother and hugged him as well.
“ “It’s good to see you Amanda.”
“ “Me too, Wildwing. Me too.”
“Dive and Amanda wiped their tears alone before Amanda was introduced to the rest of the team.
“ “This is my baby sister, Amanda. Amanda, this is Duke, Tanya and Grin. Of course, you know Mallory.” Wing said to his teammates.
“Amanda looked at Mal. “Quite!” Amanda smiled and gave Mallory a hug anyway.
“ “It’s been four years since I’ve seen you.” Mallory said.
“ “I know. Four years is a long time.”
“Everyone settled down on the couch.
“ “So how did you get here?”
“ “Some portal sucked me from Puckworld and I landed on Earth, not knowing where I was. I came inside here and looked around, to see if you guys were here.” Amanda said.
“ “Oh okay.”
“ “I thought of you everyday, thinking if you were alive or not.”
“ “We thought of you the same way.” Dive said.
“ “Do you still slay duck vampires?”
“ “Yeah.” Amanda took the pocketknife from her pocket and flipping it out so the clean blade showed.
“ “Why do you keep a pocketknife in your pocket?” Wildwing asked.
“ “Other than killing vamps, obvious reasons.” Amanda said. “I have three I don’t use to slay them with.” Amanda covered the blade and put it away.
“ “Yeah. Then what was that one that you put away?”
“ “The one that I have I don’t use for killing vamp.”
“ “Oh.” Wildwing said. “So where are you going to sleep?”
“ “The couch is okay.” Amanda said, looking at the couch where her future teammates were sitting.
“ “One us can surrender their bed for you.” Duke said.
“ “I don’t think one of your friends will sacrifice their bed for me. I’ll sleep on the couch until I settle down.” Amanda said.
“ “Okay then.” Tanya said.
“ “We’ll be at practice if you need us.” Wing said.
“ “Okay big bro.”
“The team went to practice while Amanda down on the couch, taking pillows and blankets form the closet and got ready for bed. She watched television for a while. When the tiredness took over her, she draped the blanket over her and fluffed the pillow under her head and went to sleep.
When Morning came the next day, Amanda woke up seeing Nosedive and Wildwing right beside her, ready to see their sister awake for the first time in four years. Amanda cleared her eyes and saw her brothers.
“Sleep well Amanda.”
“Yes. Quite well.” Amanda said before she yawned.
There was silence before anyone spoke their words at one another.
“We thought we would never see you again.” Nosedive said.
“I felt the same way about the two of you. I thought I lost my brothers for good. I kept a picture of the three of us on vacation wondering if I ever see you again.” Amanda said while giving another hug and then let go of the hug seconds later. She then enjoyed the hugs that she was getting by her brothers.
“Did you bring the picture?”
“Yes I did.” Amanda took the picture out of her bag and showed it to her brothers. “This is what kept me going.”
The picture she brought with her was the three of them when they were nine, ten and eleven on vacation. Amanda was between her brothers.”
“I remember the vacation very well.” Nosedive said.
“I do too. I also have a recent picture of the three of us in a photo album.”
“Really.”
“Yeah.”
Suddenly, Amanda’s stomach growled. “Do you guys have any food?” She asked.
“We have a mess hall.” Duke said while walking in, smiling at the new duck.
“Can you show it to me? I’m hungry.”
“Sure.”
Amanda got out of the couch and went along with Duke to the mess hall. Mallory showed up, seeing the two brothers looking at the photo album.
“Hey guys.” Mallory said.
“Hey Mal.” Dive said.
“Where’s Amanda?”
“She went to the mess hall with Duke.” Wildwing said.
“There’s something I need to talk to her about.”
“Well she’s at the mess hall having breakfast.”
Mallory went out of the living quarters and walked to the mess hall where Amanda is eating with Tanya, Duke and Grin; getting to know them. She walked to the table and sat next to her.
“Hello Amanda.” Mallory said.
“Hi Mal, what’s up?”
“Just joining everyone else to the breakfast table that’s all.”
“You can sit next to me if you want.”
“Okay.” Mallory said. She sat next to Amanda and Duke.
That night, Dive and Duke were talking to each other in the mess hall, while Amanda and Mallory were discussing the word truth. Duke looked at Amanda in a lusting way.
“I can’t stop laying my eyes on her.”
“Are you in love with my sister?”
“Deeply in love with Amanda.”
“Do you think that she’s in love with you?”
“I’m not sure how to say how I feel about her.”
“Well think of something, dude.”
Duke’s mind went blank. There was nothing on his mind but the face of Amanda. How he was in love with her. Smiling at her everywhere she went, weak in the knees when she smiled at him, choked when she spoke to him.
That night, Amanda got ready for bed; She was visited by Dive. He was still in shock for one or two days after Amanda arrived. He wanted to know how she is now when they left her years ago.
“Are you planning to slay any vampires?” Dive said, sitting next to her. A rush of emotion flowed inside of him.
“No. But I will keep the knives with me just in case.” Answered Amanda.
Both were sitting on the couch. Her room was being ready for her to come in. Amanda’s room will be designed by her and placed together all by herself.
“So when is your room going to be ready? Soon I guess.” Dive said looking around. His hands picked up the remote from the coffee table and turned on the television.
“Soon… It takes time.”
There was silence when the television turned on. Earth’s television was still a stranger to Amanda but was comfortable when she watches it.
“Nosedive?” She asked when she turned to see his face.
“Yeah?”
“Is Duke in love with me?”
“Duke is in love with you.” Dive said. “Why? Do you have a major crush on him?”
Amanda turned her head and looked around twice with her eyes before she turned her attention to her brother.
“Yes… I’m in love with Duke.”
“What do you see in him?”
“I don’t know… he’s kind, loving, and honest. I usually don’t see those in a man.”
Dive didn’t want to change the subject, but he did. “So what did you and Mallory were talking about today?”
“She apologized to me for stealing her diary and I apologized to her for stealing her boyfriend years ago.”
“That easily?”
“I forgave her before she left but she saved my diary and I gave her permission.” Amanda said. “I forgot about it.”
Later that night, everyone was asleep in their bedrooms. Duke got up because he couldn’t sleep. He walked to the living quarters, seeing Amanda asleep in her blankets. Her body under blankets her head over a pillow. Duke smiled as he walked up to the couch, sat next to Amanda and gently stroking her hair with one hand. He went back to sleep in his quarters… before that, Duke kissed her forehead.
“Sleep well angel face.” He whispered before leaving for his bedroom.
The next morning…
Wildwing walked down one day at the hall when he was bored. There was nothing to fight for – for now anyway. His journey took him to the Living quarters. The door opened, letting his eyes scan the place. One thing he didn’t see was his brother, Nosedive and his teammate Mallory. Both were friends, and hung out with each other… a lot.
Wing saw Duke, Amanda and Grin there, watching Television. He sat down next to his sister and took the mask off. Amanda looked at her big brother.
“Hey big bro. What’s up?” Amanda asked.
“The ceiling.” Wing said in an angry tone.
“What’s the matter with you Wildwing? Did you get up from the wrong side of the nest or something?” Duke asked.
“It’s Nosedive.”
“Yeah what about him?” Amanda asked.
“Dive wants to hang out with Mallory.” Wing said.
Grin, Duke and Amanda looked at each other, then at Wildwing.
“So what’s wrong with that big bro?”
“They hang out with each other… a lot.”
“I don’t blame them.” Amanda said.
There was silence between the four ducks. Then Duke spoke up.
“I think someone has a case of the green eye monster!” Duke said trying to flirt with Amanda.
“What green eye monster?”
“My big brother is jealous.”
“I am not.”
“You are too and you know it!” Amanda snapped. “Listen, I love my brothers and I respect my best friend’s privacy.”
“What do you expect me to do?”
“I think it’s best to support your brother.”
The door automatically opened again. It was Mallory and Nosedive, walking to the couch, joining Amanda. They weren’t even holding hands, not arm- in- arm everyone turned their heads around to see their two teammates.
“Hey Amanda.” Mallory greeted.
“Hey Mandy.” Nosedive said.
“Hey Mal. Hey Dive.” Amanda spoke cheerfully.
“What’s on the tube Mandy?”
“Wheel of Fortune and next some comedy show.” Amanda said.
“Cool. Game shows rock.” Dive said while sitting down next to Amanda.
Mallory wanted to sit next to Amanda as well so Amanda sat in between them, proving to Wildwing that nothing is going on between them. After the shows, everyone took an early bedtime by going to bed.
Mallory walked into Amanda’s room; she wanted to get a chance to talk with her. When Mal got to the door and knocked on it, there was a silence until Amanda answered it. She was in the room alone, getting ready to go to bed.
“Amanda, may I have a word you?”
“Sure come in.” Amanda said.
Amanda sat down on the bed and laid her head on the pillow, Mal sat on the couch that was in her room. The door closed seconds later.
“What’s goin’ on?”
“I think that it’s about Wildwing. He told me that I should not hang out with Dive that much.”
“Why did he say that?” Amanda asked while getting into the blankets.
“I don’t know. Duke said something to me about me hanging out with him too much.”
“I think that Wing is suffering from the case of the green eye monster.” Amanda said resting her head on her hand.
“And I totally agree with you Mandy!” Mal said.
“What are you going to do now?”
“I don’t know. I still want to hang out with Nosedive though.”
“Then go for it. I’m not stopping ya.”
“Thanks Mandy.”
“No problem Mal. I’m going to go to bed.”
“Well… goodnight.”
“Good night to you Mallory.”
Mallory walked out of Amanda’s room and went to her room and got ready for bed. In Nosedive’s room, he and Duke were talking about girls and other stuff. They were in their nightwear. But the Wildwing’s jealousy came into minds of the two and decided to discuss it.
“I don’t know what my brother’s problem is but it’s getting on my nerves.” Dive said while playing with his hand held game.
“I guess he’s jealous because you have someone to hang out with and he doesn’t.” Duke said lying on the lounge chair.
“He has friends to hang out with. But commands them.”
“He’s loved by your sister and he’s a great friend to everyone.”
“I don’t know what his problem is.”
“I don’t either. Amanda has no problem with you hanging out with Mallory and neither should he.” Duke shouted back.
“What do I do now.”
“You can hang out with Mallory all you want.” Duke said while getting up from his seat. “Well… I’m going to bed.”
“Well good night.” Dive said. “And thank you.”
“No problem.”
Duke left dive’s room and went to the door of Amanda’s room long after Mallory left. Ever since Amanda came on Earth, he had feelings for her. To his surprise, showed her feelings for him as well. He knocked on her door.
“I’ll be out in a second.” Amanda said.
“Take your time.” Duke said.
He waited for a few seconds until Amanda cleaned her mess. After she was done, she rushed onto the couch.
“Come on in.”
The door opened and Duke entered. “Hi Amanda.”
“Hi Duke.”
“I thought I can catch you before you go to sleep.”
“I won’t be asleep for a while. So I’m going to watch TV. You can join me if you want.”
“I be glad to.” Duke joined Amanda on the couch.
There was silence among the two for five minutes. The finally Duke spoke up.
“Amanda.” Duke faced her.
“Yes.” She faced him.
“I want to talk to you about us.”
“I want to talk to you about that as well.”
“I was wondering if you want to be my girlfriend if you’re not seeing anyone.”
“I’m not seeing anyone. Sure I love to be your girlfriend.”
Both cuddled up with each other and watched a few movies that were on television. They both shared food that was in Amanda’s refrigerator Then, the room got cold very quickly. Amanda wrapped herself into a huge throw that she had. Duke lay down next to her. They were on the bed now.
“Don’t worry. I’ll keep you warm.” Duke said wrapping the giant throw around the both of them.
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
Both ate their dinner and watched a movie. He kept her warm by the warmth of his body. She did the same.
“Comfortable?”
“Yes.” Amanda said while kissing his cheek.
Hours later, the heat was on for a while, Everyone was still in their throws. Then there was a knock on the door. Amanda and Duke didn’t want anyone to know that they were going out so they went to separate places in the room. All were dressed for bed. Both Duke and Amanda were nervous about what the couple’s reaction to the two being in a same room.
“Come in.”
It was Mallory and Nosedive, holding hands. The couple came inside of Amanda’s room sitting next to their friends.
“I thought that you were asleep.” Dive said to Duke.
“I wanted to check up on Amanda and she invited me to watch TV with her.” Was Duke’s only excuse.
“Are you two dating?” Mallory asked.
“What gave you that idea?”
“The food, the cuddling…”
There was silence between the four. Duke finally confessed for what was really going on between Amanda and him.
“Okay you got us,” Duke said. “Amanda and I… are dating.”
“So… what… we support you.” Nosedive said.
Amanda got up and sat in Duke’s lap; he wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed the top of her forehead.
“Thank you.”
“Why’s that?”
“Wildwing won’t understand how I feel about Amanda and her feelings for me.”
“He doesn’t understand us either.”
Dive changed the subject…. “If you love Amanda so much. Then why don’t you kiss her?”
“Okay… maybe I will.” Duke said.
He and Amanda got closer and closer until their beaks were together for a kiss. Duke wasn’t afraid of kissing a girl infront of anyone. Amanda was shocked and responded to the kiss by kissing back. The kiss lasted for a half a minute before letting go of it. Then both cuddled under a throw when they felt cold again.
“Okay sis… I’m convinced!” Dive said.
“Thanks for understanding us.”
“Like the way you do to us.”
Mallory and Dive got up and left after saying goodnight to the new couple. To their surprise, both were happy about it. Amanda placed her head on Duke’s shoulder while he stroked he hair and her face. Then they fell asleep on the couch, cuddled with each other and wrapped around in blankets to shield them from the cold that surrounded the room.
Mallory went to her bedroom to get some sleep. Her mind was on Nosedive and his brother. Why was he controlling and wanting to know where and who he was with every single day? Does she think that he’s jealous? She lay down on the bed, lying under the blankets.
Minutes later, there was a knock on the door. She got up and opened the door slowly, wanting to know who was on the other side of her door. Mallory saw nothing infront of her. She shut the door and walked to her bed. Lying on the comforter once more. Hours later, tiredness took over her eyes and went to sleep.
Wildwing checked up on everyone before he went to sleep. He walked up slowly to his brother’s room with an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach, finding out what he might find in his room besides Nosedive. But he was surprised when he was asleep in his own room, with the blankets over and under him. He wasn’t staying at Mallory’s room that night.
Wing then checked up on Duke, growing suspicious to him as well. To him, Duke was acting lustfully when Amanda arrived. He looked at the living quarters, looking his around without his mask, but he wasn’t there. Wing slowly checked up in Amanda’s room. Carefully, he opened the door. A wave of shock ran though Wildwing’s head when he saw his sister under the blankets, especially in the arms of Duke L’Orange. He knew that Duke and Amanda were best friends and nothing more. He closed the door and walked to his room and tiredly walked to his bed where he slept a while later.
The next morning, Duke woke up, seeing Amanda watching televisions, still in his grip and under the blankets.
“Morning.” Amanda said without looking up.
“How did you know that I was awake?” Duke asked.
“I just know.” Amanda turned her head around to the Duke’s face.
There was silence before Duke kissed her, then were pillow fights and wrestling. Both were having fun, until the games ended when Amanda was on top of Duke. He placed his hands on Amanda’s arms; both were looking at each other with smiles on their faces.
“I win.” Amanda said.
Then a pause came into place. Until Duke spoke up.
“Did you sleep well?” Duke asked while Amanda was still on top of him
“I’ve slept well thanks to you’re wonderful company.” Amanda said, getting up.
“Where are you going?” Duke asked.
“I’m going to take my shower.” Amanda coming close to Duke, kissing him before she left. “I’ll be back.”
“Okay.” Duke said, getting up.
Amanda left for her bathroom, Duke voluntarily picked up their mess after what they ate and after they’re playing with the pillows. Duke slowly bent down on his hands and knees and picked things off the floor.
After Amanda got out of the shower, she got dressed and went inside of her bedroom. She was so surprised that she found it clean and Duke was gone. Then she walked up to the bed, finding a note on her bed. The new duck approached the bed carefully, knowing that she hates surprises. She wondered where Duke was, thinking that he was going to wait for her, but didn’t.
When she got to the bed, she noticed the note that was lying on the pillow on the bed. Amanda decided to pick it up and unfold it so she can read what was on the note.
“Sweet Amanda, I went down town to get a few things for the two of us. I had a wonderful time with you last night. It’s my first time cuddling with somebody in a long time since I’ve traveled to Earth. You are the nicest person in the world, also the kindest, sweetest, and you are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. The reason why I left you alone because I want to prepare for our next date. I’m going to bring Dive and Mallory and make it a double date. Well gotta go now. Love always, Duke.” Amanda said outloud, smiling at the complements.
Amanda got dressed and went to the kitchen, with that smile on her face. But got stopped by Wildwing. He had a smile and a frown on his face. Since the fact that Duke was staying in Amanda’s room that night, it was a big wave of shock flowing though his head. He still thought of them as best friends. Wing was jealous of his brother and his sister but won’t show it and will continue to be his grumpy, green-eyed monster that he wasn’t before Amanda arrived.
“Good morning big brother” Amanda said cheerfully.
“Good morning to you Mandy.” Wing said.
“How was you night?” Amanda asked. Her eyes glued into her brothers.
“A bit of a shock. But not too good.”
“I’m sorry I asked.” She said with a flighty but angry tone.
There was a long silence between the siblings. Amanda knew what was wrong with Wildwing, but doesn’t want to tell him that she knows. To her, he was acting like a complete stranger with jealousy in his body.
“Are you jealous of Mallory and Nosedive or me by any chance?” Amanda asked with concern.
“I don’t have a jealous bone in my body. I’m not jealous of you and Nosedive.” Wing shot back.
Amanda turned her body around to the direction of the mess hall. “Whatever.” She left waiving her hand at him, leaving Wildwing by himself, confused.
Mallory woke up finding Nosedive next to her, noticing that he had nothing in his hands to pull any pranks on Mallory, his prime victim. All she saw was Dive sitting on the edge of her bed, watching TV. He turned his head around and saw that Mallory was awake.
“Good morning.” Nosedive said, while taking his hand into hers.
“How long have you been here?” Mallory asked, trying to get the grogginess from her eyes.
“I’ve been here for a half an hour now.”
“Did you talk with Amanda or Duke?” Mal asked.
“I talked with Duke, he told me every single detail.”
“I can’t wait to hear this.” Mal said.
At breakfast, Amanda and Dive were eating the same food from different plates. Dive, being curious, wanted to know how their first date went.
“So… how was your date last night Mandy?”
“It was so awesome man!” Amanda said.
“Wow… Can you tell me?”
“All we did was eat dinner, watched movies and cuddled with each other with soft music.” Amanda said. “That’s basically it.”
“That’s cool. When you first went out with Mallory, what did you guys do?”
“Basically the same things you did with Duke but different. We went to dinner, watched a movie, danced and hung out for a while.”
“Sounds romantic.” Amanda said while picking up her piece of pancake and eating, then drank mocha in her cup.
“It was.” Dive said.
Wildwing was in his bedroom getting dressed for the day. Think of Nosedive and Amanda while doing so. First he thought of Dive. He knew that he and Mallory are going out together. It was obvious, because it was seen everywhere. He wasn’t going to be rude to Dive and Mallory; both are trying to live their lives.
Then he thought of Amanda. She wasn’t the mushy type and wasn’t looking for love on her conquest that ended when she found him and Nosedive alive; boy, he thought wrong. She was in love with former cat burglar. For some reason, she falls for the strong men that has muscular outsides; but Duke changed all of that. But what he saw in Amanda’s room last night made him think differently of Amanda and Duke. He thought of them as best friends that hung around each other and nothing more.
Amanda was right, he was jealous. He never admitted it but it was true. He was never in love when the team landed on Earth. All he thought of was two things, hockey and protecting his team, Anaheim and the world from evil. He was making himself worse; he never told anyone that he was jealous of either Amanda or Nosedive. Sure, both never dated for a while.
He decided to go to the mess hall and apologize and confess. He doesn’t want to do it but he has to get this anger that was built inside of him come out and not by yelling. At the mess hall, Amanda was alone, finishing up her breakfast. Wildwing approached her.
“Amanda, may I have a word with you?” Wildwing said.
“Sure.” Amanda said.
Wildwing sat down next to Amanda… Amanda knew that it was a time to talk with her older brother.
“I haven’t talk to Nosedive yet but this is something to tell you.” Wing said. “You’re right. I am jealous.”
Amanda felt silent; to her, he never revealed that he was wrong before in her life. He thought that she would say that he was jealous all along. But she felt different.
“I’m sorry Amanda.”
“Why are you apologizing to me? I haven’t done anything.”
“I don’t really know. I haven’t got a chance to hang out with you for a while since you were here.”
“I feel guilty about that too. But I’ve gained something’s.”
“Like what?”
“I got my brother’s back, a chance to talk with Mallory, know your team a lot better and… a boyfriend.”
“You and Duke are going out?”
“Yes we are.”
There was silence between the two.
“I should be happy for you.” Wing said.
“I’m happy for you. Look where you are. You’re a team captain, leader and a great role model to me.” Amanda said. “You’ve been my idol for sometime now.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
Wing got up and hugged Amanda, lasting for a few seconds before both letting go of each other. They were finally brother and sister again and not strangers. Wing got a chance to talk with Nosedive on break time after they practiced, telling him that the jealousy and everything else that happened while Mal is still going out with Dive. But he didn’t tell Amanda about the cuddling that Amanda and Duke had last night.
Duke was getting his bedroom ready for the night. He was tired as hell, because of practice, saving the world and plus saving himself. It was 10:50 at night and Amanda was asleep in her bedroom, so he doesn’t want to disturb her. But with his half dressed in his pj bottom, he checked up on her to make sure that she was safe.
When he approached to her chambers, he quietly opening the door. Duke was shocked; she was watching movies alone. Obviously, to him, Amanda was waiting for him.
“Hi!” Amanda said.
“I thought that you were asleep, so I wanted to check up on you, just in case.” Duke said.
“Come and sit with me.” Amanda motioned him to come sit next to her. His body was turning her on. Duke sat down next to her on the bed.
“Do you appreciate my company?” he asked teasingly.
“I love your company.” Amanda said. “I love you company as well.” Duke said.
He noticed that Amanda’s hands were exploring his chest and was immediately turned on by her touch. Then they both kissed each other slowly. Their love for each other drew deep and deeper as they kissed. Then the two let go of the kiss as Amanda unzipped her shirt, revealing her undergarment.
“You want me to make love to you?”
“I don’t know what’s stopping you.” Amanda said.
“I don’t know what’s stopping us… so lets do it.”
Both feverishly kissed and started to take off their clothes and made love to each other all night with the TV as a distraction from all of the noise they made. A couple hours later, Both were lying on Amanda’ bed, dressed. All was silent in Amanda’s room, except for some quiet music.
“That was fun.” Amanda said.
“I knew you’ll love it.” Duke said.
“I loved it alright. No one had made me so satisfied before.”
“Is this your first time?”
“Yes this was my first time.” Amanda said.
Duke got up from Amanda’s bed and kissed her goodnight. “I’ll never forget this night.”
“Where are you going?”
“I’m going to get some good sleep… I’ll think of you always.”
“I will too.” Amanda whispered “Goodnight.”
“Goodnight Amanda.”
Duke left the room and went to bed. As we walked to his chambers, he thought of how their night went. To him, it was amazing and couldn’t wait to tell the others. But at the same time, he didn’t want to make Wildwing and Nosedive mad. Since he went out with Amanda for a month and started to sleep with her. He would never use her for sex; he was respectful to her. He didn’t know how Mallory and dive were dating or how their relationship worked but… they had their ways of making theirs work and how it’s together.
Amanda thought of this the same way, she didn’t ask Duke to make love to her, he asked if she wanted to, she never slept with anyone before. But it was something that she wouldn’t forget. She really loves him and doesn’t want to use him for something that she might ruin her reputation for. Both Duke and Amanda went to sleep at the same time in separate rooms.
