- DISC LENGTH : disc 1 - 60:48, disc 2 - 62:42
- OVERALL SOUND QUALITY : VG+/EX- audience recording
- SOURCE: 7/14/94 The Palladium, New York City, New York.
- COMMENTS : The man's penchant for playing in NYC is obvious.
You can somewhat gauge his mood just by listening to
The Jam. Great little extended rap at the opening before
beginning the NPG introductions. Wonderful track listing makes for
an extremely exciting show, most notably the inclusion of the new
anthem Gold, the 14 minute version of
Days of Wild, and the thrilling instrumental jam during
the second half of Now. Nothing out of the ordinary here
really though, just another very nice document from an all too
brief tour. Sound quality is very clean, falling somewhere between
Le Batalcan & Stars & Bars disc sets. No
annoying crowd participation as is the case in
Le Bataclan. Packaging in disappointing. Cover looks nice
but no booklet & just a single sheet inner sleeve. How spoiled
we are these days when we don't get a 46 page fold-out booklet with
each new release. The cover features a very attractive collage of
the photos in last years 'Q' magazine cover issue.
- RECOMMENDATION : Well, if you already own the Glam Slam 6 CD set
or any other other recent Love Experience tour releases
you do not need this. This would just be an extension of that
because of the very similar sound quality and track listing. If
you don't own anything from the Love Experience tour this
would be a very suitable choice to start since it's one of the
better shows in terms of performance and track listing.
- From flyer: "Recorded at Palladium club, New York, on
July 14th, 1994. Nona Gaye, Lenny Kravitz, Vernon Reed and N.P.G.
was guests. You have the complete performance on this
release. The total playing time is around two hours and a few
minutes. The sound quality is excellent."
- I just picked up a copy of Get Wild. Again, the sound could be
better but, the concert is outta this world! It's a dbl cd
recorded live at The Palladium in New York, 7/14/94, for a charity
concert.

Glam Slam East (2CD)
Live at Glam Slam/Miami, 8. & 9. June 1994
- Label
- Raiders of the lost art RCD001
- Review
- DISC LENGTH : disc 1 - 76:35, disc 2 - 72:39
- OVERALL SOUND QUALITY : 6/8 show is EX audience. 6/9 is VG+/EX-
audience.
- SOURCE: All songs on disc 1 is from 6/8/94 Glam Slam Miami except *
= from 6/9/94 & ** = studio recording played after the 6/9 show. All
songs on disc 2 are from 6/9/94 Glam Slam Miami. All audience
recordings.
- COMMENTS : It's very nice to have two complete shows on this set.
The end of disc 1 contains the remaining songs from the 6/9 show that
don't fit on disc 2. Kind of confusing but not really annoying. The 6/8
show clocks in at right around 60 mins and it is one of the cleanest
audience recordings ever on disc. Once again, I can't imagine an
audience recording sounding better than this. This is most notable on
the rare live performance of 'Billy Jack Bitch' and the thrilling
reworking of Salt N Pepa's 'Shoop' in which O+> confidentally raps the
lyrics to 3 of his own songs in place of the original lyrics. Another
great, but much too brief show. The 6/9 show is just slightly less
quality but still excellent. Completely different show than the 6/8 one
thus making this another great CD set featuring at least one live
version of nearly all of the new songs. The highlights of the 6/9 show
are the live versions of '319' & 'Ripopgodazippa' and a drastically
different version of 'Johnny'. A high quality recording of the new song
'I Hate U' is a nice inclusion as well. The bright, colorful packaging
here centers around the photos that were featured in the recent issue of
'Q' magazine that had O+> on the cover.
- RECOMMENDATION : Another winner here. Sound quality and the rare
live versions of songs like 'Billy Jack Bitch' make this close to a
necessity.
- The 8 page booklet includes pictures from Q magazine.
- Glam Slam East, North & West: These bootlegs are (artwork wise)
the best ever to come from Sweden. They come in a simple, but very nice
looking black paper box. The sound quality is very good on all
recordings. It sounds as if they only used mastertapes. The quality of
the VH-1 Honors tracks is excellent.

Glam Slam North (2CD)

- DISC LENGTH : disc 1 - 77:26, disc 2 - 75:35
- OVERALL SOUND QUALITY : VG+/EX- audience recording
- SOURCE: 7/25/94 Glam Slam Mpls, * = studio track played during 7/25
show, ** = from 7/26/94 Glam Slam Mpls, ^ = from 7/14/94 The Palladium,
New York.
- COMMENTS : The first in the wonderful trilogy of Glam Slam sets.
The packaging here centers around pics from the TV performance of 'Most
Beautiful Girl' on England's Top of the Pops this past summer. Sound
quality here is outstanding, comparable to that of Stars & Bars. Even
though 3 different shows are featured here, the sound quality is
consistently high throughout with the only drawback being some noisy
audience members & some occasional distortion. The distortion factor
here is not nearly as much of a problem as it is on the Stars & Bars CD
set. The 7/25 show is here in complete form. Two notable highlights
from the show are the rare live duet of 'Love Sign' with Nona Gaye and
the remarkably funky studio version of 'Pussy Control'. For those who
have not heard 'Pussy Control', pray that it appears on the next album
from the man. He's obviously very proud of this song since he played it
during this show and then twice the next night (7/26), once during and
again immediately after the show. The sound quality of 'Pussy Control'
is excellent despite being an audience recording of a studio cut. Very
clear vocals and the crowd's enjoyment is obvious towards the new song.
From the recording it appears as if O+> was onstage during most of the
playing of the song. The 3 songs from 7/26 are 3 of the most inspired
and best cuts from the show. The 7/14 exceprts focus around the
O+>/Vernon Reid/Lenny Kravitz collaboration on stage. Great choice of
excerpts from these 2 shows fill up the 2nd disc of this set quite
nicely. The makers of this CD set (along with Glam Slam West & East)
obviously attempted to fit as much different material onto these CD's as
possible. All of the CD's are well over 70 minutes long.
- RECOMMENDATION : Wow, this about as good as it can get for an
audience recorded non-tour gig set. It's worth the trouble to find this
one. This one actually lives up to all of the high expectations assigned
to it.
- Glam Slam concert this summer incl. bonus tracks from New York
2gether with Lenny Kravits.
- The 8 page booklet includes many stills from the Mustang Mix video.

- Review
- DISC LENGTH : disc 1 - 71:02, disc 2 - 74:15
- OVERALL SOUND QUALITY : 6/26 show is VG/VG+ audience, VH-1 Honor is

- SOURCE: 6/26/94 Glam Slam L.A., except * = 6/26/94 VH-1 Honor show,
^ = 6/27/94 Glam Slam L.A.
- COMMENTS : If it wasn't for the inclusion of the VH-1 Honor
performance this set would be the least appealing of the 3 Glam Slam
sets. Sound quality here all around is still very good but not up to par
with the recordings of the 6/8 Miami & 7/25 Mpls shows. But we're once
again talking about the difference between fudge and chocolate. This is
still a great piece. It features the nicest packaging of the 3 with
several photos from the recent French magazine 'The Max'. The highlight
of disc 1 is the duet with Stevie Wonder on 'Maybe Your Baby' which
actually comes through quite clearly. Great performance. Disc 2
highlight would have to be the rendition of 'Endorphinemachine' off the
VH-1 jam. Wonderful quality on this. It makes me wish these
enterprising bootleggers would put out a single disc comprising of all
of the recent TV appearances, including the great speech off the Soul of
America award show.
- RECOMMENDATION : Probably the least desirable of the 3 sets, but
still just barely recommended. The VH-1 stuff here saves it nicely.
Great packaging is a plus too with wonderful photos.
- The 12 page booklet includes pictures from MAX magazine.
- Glam Slam East, North & West: These bootlegs are (artwork wise)
the best ever to come from Sweden. They come in a simple, but very nice

- Review by Dazeofwild@aol.com
- This may not be the worst bootleg released this year but it should rank
up there with one of the most worthless. I'm struggling to imagine
anyone who would find the need to acquire this disc. A pointless
potpourri of live & studio Gold tracks in a wide variety
of sources and quality. Packaging is excellent and quite attractive,
but that's where the compliments stop. For myself nothing is more
annoying than a disc that jumps from one excellent quality to track to
a mediocre one and so forth, thus making you adjust your stereo dials
during every track. I can think of countless releases of Gold
era boots that outperform this release. Spend the extra $15 or $20 it
takes to get an entire Gold show in its entirity that will
include 90% of these tracks and a lot more, or better yet just put your
official copy of The Gold Experience into your system and jam
away the way its meant to be.

-
Audience recordings with very little noise from the audience. Along with
the Budokan 3CD and
Tokyo Budokan
I've heard now three complete Japan gigs (Jan.11/16/17) plus various
songs from other concerts (Jan.8/9/13) and still I can't name a
favourite show. Each one has it's highlights but overall they're quite
equal. So if you already have
Budokan I'd not recommend this
release. The package is nice but nothing special. Limited Ed. of 500.

- EX quality boot of the original, including all the remixes of
2Gether.
- O(+> vocals are prominant on 7. and 14. Most of the songs have
really cool grooves but are spoiled (IMHO) by Tony M's rapping.
I'd prefer to listen to most tracks as instrumentals. Sound quality
is excellent, a good copy of the original CD. Black MF, Call The Law
and Johnny are regularly found on O(+> aftershows and concerts from
1993/94. Cover is close up of woman's legs. Back is the band at
