Airsick tips........

There are more than a few tricks to avoid airsickness.

1> Drink a lot of water, I mean alot, espcially in the summer in Oklahoma (Or Texas or Missisppi).puking.jpg (19594 bytes) The A/C on a T-37 is a screaming joke. If you don't pee clear, you need more water, seriously. This will not only help you with airsickness, but pulling G's as well. The AP folks put color slides of hwt your urine should look like over every urinal in our squadron.

2> Another trick is to get some minty gum, preferably the hard stuf, like Trident Whitneing, or anyhint that comes in those flat plastic packs packs with the foil backing. I also used Everrest, the gum that comes in those hard tins from the same folks who make Altiods. Put that gum between your cheek and gum and don't chew it, just crack it a little, as you stomach gets a litttle quesly, just lick it.

3> If you find you are getting sick pretty easiliy don't eat anything with spice or color before you fly. One poor student in my flight puked for months. If he flew last period, he spent the day eating totillia shells and rice. He finally overcame it and graduated.

4> My peronall favorite was to just put to O2 reguator on pure oxygen. I loved that. Some instructors will fail you for doing that, but none of mine said anything.

5> Honestly, get lots of rest, I could tell even after flying a while when I hadn't had 8 hours the night before. If you are tired, you are more subseptable to airsickness.

If you puke, then you hook that ride, if you keep puking, you get sent to the areospace phys folks. Now they are there to help, and they'll will do what ever they can to help you with this if you get reffered over there, but it's an extra hassle you don't need.

So here it is, summed up in a few flights and a handful of sims, kinda depressing when I see it laid out so simply, so small, so short. I only made it a few flights after solo. But if it helps anyone or entertains anyone, then maybe it was worth it                                                                                                                                                                              Sim 1    Sim 2    Flight 1        Sim 3    Flight 2         Flight 3          Flight 4         Flight 5         Sim 4    Sim 5    Flight 6         Flight 7          Sim 6    Flight 8   Flight 9         Flight 10   Sim7    Sim 8    Flight 11        Flight 12         Sim 9    Flight 13      Flight14       Sim 10    Flight 15       Flight 16   Flight 17       Flight 18         Flight 19       Flight 20        Flight 21        Flight 22      Flight 23       Flight 24  Flight 25         Flight 26         Flight 27         Flight 28
