Chapter Seven

Christina woke up to the sound of a knock on the door. "Yeah, we're up" "Okay" her aunt said. "Lance…come on baby….wake up." She said giving Lance a small kiss. He stretched a little and slowly opened his eyes. Flinching as the light hit his eyes he smiled slightly and pulled Christina in for another kiss. They pulled away and Christina said "I've enjoyed these two days with my aunt, but I'm ready to sleep in our big bed again. While I don't mind sleeping close, it isn't that much fun worrying about falling out of the bed." "Yeah…I know…if I remember right I was the one that fell out last night." Lance said as they both starting laughing remembering him falling off the side of the bed the night before. "But it has been fun. We've got to go sailing, walking on the beach, which was the best part in my opinion, and you got to spoil the new baby, and your family got to know me better. So it was definitely worth it. But I will definitely be glad to be in my condo tonight." "Well…we better get up and moving, before Aunt Jane comes back and makes sure we are up. We promised to help her with lunch and told her we'd take the boat out to gasses up." They both slowly climbed out of the twin bed and stretched. Christina made the bed and straightened up the room as Lance took a quick shower. She showered and dressed when he was done and they went to help her aunt. After a few hours of preparation, the lunch was ready and set on the picnic table. Shannon and Jonathan had just arrived. At three they all sat down at the table and ate, then did the dishes, and sat around the pool talking for the afternoon. "Well, kids I hate to say this but I don't think I will be going out on the boat with you tonight." Christina's Uncle Ron said. "Why?" Christina quickly asked. "I have a ton of paper work do for tomorrow and I leave for my trip on Tuesday." "Oh, well if you have too!" Christina joking whined as she hugged her uncle before he entered the house. "Well are we all ready to go?" she asked excitedly. Being on or near the water was her favorite thing to do. It had always been. She loved being in boats and just being on the beach. Lance and Christina had spent much of their time at the beach. "I think the baby and I should stay here. I don't think it would be good for him to be out in the night air on the water." Michelle said as she picked up her son and went into the house. "I think I should probably stay here and help your uncle pack and help Michelle with the baby. Why don't the four of you young kids go and enjoy yourself. Just be careful." Her Aunt Jane said. "Okay, are you guys sure?" Christina asked. "Yeah" "Well, let's go!" Christina said standing up and walking to the dock. "Chris…I think Jon and I are just going to go for a walk on the beach. And then I am going back to Justin's soon." Shannon said as she and Jonathan started walking to the water. "Okay" Christina said as she climbed into the boat, and sat in the passengers seat. "Man, it feels like everyone is trying to send us out alone. Usually someone is coming along. This is weird." Christina said as Lance started the boat. "Oh you never know. Maybe they just thought we needed some alone time." Lance said, as he smiled and thought to himself 'So far so good! She has no clue what is going on tonight!' "So where too?" "I don't care. Wherever you want to go sweetie!" "Okay, let's just drive around for a while!" They drove around the ocean for awhile until Lance found the little beach Shannon and Jonathan had found the day before and told him about. They pulled the boat up to a dock and tied it off. Lance helped Christina out then grabbed the blankets and towels, and small radio he had placed in the boat earlier in the day. "Where did all this come from?" Christina asked. "Oh Aunt Jane put it in here earlier today for everyone encase we stopped somewhere." Lance explained quickly as they walked on the beach hand in hand. It was about 8 P.M. and the sun was just above the water line. Lance spread the blanket out and turned the radio on then sat down and pulled Christina down with him. They sat silently watching the sun set slowly with Lance's arms wrapped around Christina as she leaned back onto his chest. The sky changed from being brightly lit, to a purple, pink, and blue. It was almost as if someone had painted the sky and was continually working on the colors to make them perfect. As the sun set in front of them the moon began to rise behind them. "It's wonderful here!" Christina said in a whisper as she leaned her head back and tilted it to look at Lance. He pulled his arms tighter and kissed her lightly on the lips. "Yes it is. I would like to stay like this forever." Lance said. Suddenly he let go of Christina and reached into his pocket, then wrapped his arms back around her. "Sorry thought I lost the boat key" he explained when he saw the puzzled look on Christina's face. She relaxed again, still curious as to why he had reached into his pocket, knowing it wasn't for the boat key because she had that in her jeans. They continued to just sit and watch the sun set as the music softly played in the background. The sky changed to a dark shade of violet as the radio began to play "Truly, Madly, Deeply" by Savage Gardens. 'Right on cue, Shannon, thanks" he thought. He began to sing softly… "I'll be your dream, I'll be your wish, I'll be your fantasy. I'll be your hope, I'll be your love, Be everything that you need. I'll love you more with every breath truly, madly, deeply doo. I will be strong. I will be faithful, Cause I'm counting on a New beginning, a reason for living. A mean in the end. I wanna stand with you on a mountain, I wanna bath with you in the sea. I wanna lie like this forever. Until the sky falls down on me. And when the stars are shinning brightly in the velvet sky. I'll make a wish and make to heaven and make you want to cry. The tears of joy for all the pleasure and uncertainty. Then we're surrounded by the comfort and protection of, The highest powers, inlue the hours, the tears devour you." As the music continued to play softly, Lance stopped singing and leaned in close to Christina's ear. "Christina, I love you more then anything. We've been together for two years now and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Like the song says…I'll be your dream, I'll be your wish, I'll be your fantasy, I'll be everything that you need. Well I want to be all those things, as long as you will let me. So will you please marry me?" Lance asked as he turned his hand over to reveal the tiny black velvet box. Opening it he held up a gold ring, with a small diamond at the top in the shape of a heart. He held it up in what was left of the light and a ray of light glimmered off the top. "Well what do you say?" Lance asked. "Of course I will. I love you more then anything. I don't have to think about this. I would follow you anywhere and stand with you through anything and follow you anywhere." Lance slipped the ring on her finger, then turned her around in his arms. Pulling her close to him he kissed her deeply and lovingly then just held her in his arms. They both silently looked at the sky, each other, and at the ring. They didn't ever let go of each other as they sat and quietly talked. As a cold breeze came in off the water, Christina shivered slightly. "Let's get back on the boat and back to the house." Lance said "You're so cold. Here let's wrap the blanket around you that will help." "Okay" they stood up and Lance wrapped the blanket around her. "Oh yeah…here's the boat key." Christina said with a smile on her face. "Oh…yeah you had it." "Yeah I did. But don't worry I had no clue what you had planned" Christina reassured him as they climbed into the boat and headed back to her aunt's dock. "This night has been perfect." "Yes it has been! Nothing else could make it better. So when do you want to be a bride?" Lance asked. "Well, let's see…We both like winter a lot and Christmas is both of our favorite holiday's. If we did it near Christmas it would get all of our families together." "So are you trying to hint that you want a wedding at Christmas?" "Yeah I guess so." "How about the first weekend of December, in a year and half?" "Yeah that sounds great. Are you sure that is enough time?" "Yeah, now we set a date. The first weekend of December, and then we can take a honeymoon until a few days before Christmas." Lance said smiling shyly. Christina just smiled back at him and shook her head. "I'm so happy!" "Look a shooting star. Make a wish!" They both looked at each other then the sky. As they grasped each other's hands they both looked to the sky and wished that this moment would never end and if it had to that they would always be together and always be able to work through any problems. They both smiled as they pulled the boat up to the dock and tied it up. Walking up to the house Christina noticed that it appeared empty and figured that everyone was in bed or had left for the night. When they walked in the heard the TV on in the front room and found Shannon, Jonathan, and her aunt watching TV. Lance sat down and pulled Christina onto his lap. Smiling Shannon gave Lance a questioning look. "So…how was the boat?" "Wonderful, the beach was much better." Christina said. "Yes, Shannon I asked her" Lance said. "GOOD!" Shannon said. "And?" "I said yes…geez do we have to totally spell it out for you?" "Just wanted to make sure it went without a hitch." "Well congratulations!" Christina's aunt said. "Thanks" Christina and Lance said. "I think we should be going" Lance said "It's not a long drive but I want to get back before it gets to be too late." Christina stood up and Lance went to get their bags. She said goodbye to Jonathan and Shannon and they left to go to Justin's. Walking out with her aunt she promised to see them again soon. "Well girl…call when you get there. I want to make sure that you both get home safely. I can't believe the baby of the family, well other then Jon, is getting married. We didn't think that would ever happen!" "HEY!" "I'm just kidding. You might want to call mom and dad and inform them of what is going on." "Yeah I will! Bye Annie!" "BYE!" her aunt said as they pulled out of the driveway. In the truck the radio play quietly as Lance drove away from the house. Once around a few corners Christina undid her seat belt and slide across the seat them redid the middle belt. Lance put his right arm around her shoulder and Christina rested her head on Lance's shoulder and her hand on his leg. Her hand slowly crept up his leg until he stiffened in the seat a little. She smiled at him and ran her hand back down. Reaching his knew she ran her hand back up. She could see the expression on his face change and his eyes grow large as she neared the highest part of his thigh. "Did anyone ever tell you that you were a distraction?" Lance moaned out. "What?" she asked innocently. "You make it hard to concentrated on driving." He said as her hand began to work its way back up her leg, now more on the inside of the thigh. Looking from the road she could see his hand tighten on the wheel and the one around her shoulder caressed her neck lightly. His hand began to work it's way down her neck to her shoulder, and then followed her tank top seem. Wishing to replace the touches with kisses Lance felt an ache grow in his body. Christina tired of rubbing his leg ran her hand up to Lance's stomach. Where she pulled his shirt out of his shorts and ran her hand under it. She let her hands roam over his chest and stomach following each muscle line. Using just a slight bit of pressure allowing it to feel more like a massage. "Remember I am driving here…or at least trying to." Lance said as his ache to kiss her grew. Laughing slightly Christina ignored his comment and continued to let her hand roam all over his stomach and chest. Lance slipped his hand under the seam on her tank top and slowly followed her bra strap down until her reached her breast. He slipped his hand under the soft silky material and caressed every inch of the soft flesh until her reached her nipple. Running his palm and fingers over it he could feel it grow to a peak. Finally pulling onto his street Lance breathed a sigh of relief and Christina only chuckled. He was obviously having problems concentrating. He pulled into the drive and slipped his hand out Christina's shirt as she pulled her hand out of his. They both climbed out of the truck on the driver's side and ran hand in hand to the front door like to young teenagers just finding their first love. No more then getting the door shut Lance pulled Christina into a kiss. He pushed her against the door and kissed her with every ounce of love he had, as his hands roamed up and down her sides only pausing occasionally. She broke apart and breathed deeply. Walking over to the phone she picked it up and began dialing. As she heard the voice answer on the other end her eyes widened, as Lance's hands came up behind her and began to caress her breast and then he moved them down her stomach to her shorts as she said "Hi" in a quiet voice.
