"JC! JC!" called out Christina trying to get his attention.
"What? Can't you see I am listening?" he asked her annoyed. "This was one of the first songs I sang for a performance. I think I was thirteen. Please I want to listen! I've already missed the first verse."
"Yeah, but I was talking to you," she said quietly knowing that JC did not hear her.
"I took for granted all the times I thought would last somehow. I hear the laughter, I hear the joy, but I can't get near you now. Oh can't you see it baby? You got me going crazy," sang Tiffany.
Now it was Theresa's turn to sing lead. "Where ever go, whatever you do I will be right here waiting for you. Whatever it takes or how my heart breaks I will be right here waiting for you."
"I wonder how we can survive this romance, But in the end if I'm with you I'll take the chance. Oh can't you see it baby you got me going crazy," sang Melissa lead.
"Where ever you go, whatever you do, I will be right here waiting for you. What ever it takes or how my heart breaks I will be right here waiting for you," sang Tiffany, Melissa, and Theresa all together. The crowd in the Karaoke bar cheered.
"Five point girls upong the reaction of the crowd!" yelled Angie.
JC didn't notice the way Christina was silently crying.
"Alright you three have initiated the competition!!" yelled Lance. "Men we must win!"
"Too bad Justin isn't here tonight," laughed Angie.
"Christina it is now your turn!" he said ignoring Angie's comment.
"No, really I can't sing!" she said half expecting and half hoping that JC would come to the rescue.
"We have to make her sing! If she can't sing then the girls have to give up their title!" said Joey.
"NEVER!" cried Angie, Melissa, Tiffany and Theresa.
"Wait a sec. guys! It looks like shes gonna puke!" said Chris.
"NO I am fine, I'll sing," she said. She requested Brandy's Have You Ever. She was going to proove herself right there and then. She put her mouth to the microphone and began to sing. She listened to her voice. She didn't sound too horrible but as she continued to sing. She realized that she was singing this song to let JC know that she would give him up.
"But she looks like she is gonna hurl," commented Chris.
"No she won't," JC said. He gave her a reasurring smile. When the song ended he pulled her into an embrace, not that of a lover's embrace but of friends. He kissed her one last time.
