Scoring

  • Player scores 2 points for hole closet to front of board, 4 points for middle hole and 6 points for farthest hole. 1 point is scored for a puck that has landed on top of placing surface.
  • Points are totaled after all six pucks from both teams have been exhausted.
  • Players try to become the first team to reach 31 points (exactly) first.
  • Example: If Team 1 throws a puck in the 4 hole, and 2 hole and 1 puck is tossed on the playing surface. Team 1 is awarded 7 points. Team 2 now throws in the 6 hole and tosses 2 pucks on the playing surface. Team 2 is awarded 8 points. The score is now Team 1 - 7 points and Team 2 - 8 points etc.
  • Team 2 now has the board and will throw first. §
  • No point is awarded for a puck that is thrown off the playing surface.
  • If Team 2 "tops", see scoring, Team 1 in a certain hole. No points are awarded.
    • Ex. Team 1 tosses a puck into the 4 hole and Team 2 "tops" Team 1's puck in the 4 hole. No points are awarded.
  • Each team throws after all 3 pucks, player with the most points for the round gets to throw first in the next frame.
  • The same scenario is followed until one team reaches 31 points exactly.
  • If one team has a "bust", or goes over 31 points. That team will go back that many points the puck scored on that particular throw.
    • Ex. Team 1 has 26 points and throws the first puck in the 6 hole, Team 1 now has busted with 32 points, thus will go back 6 points to 20 points. Team one now throws the next two pucks, needing 11 points to win.
  • If team 1 throws first puck on the playing surface to score 31 points, the next two pucks must be thrown, underhand, bouncing on the TOP of the playing surface. If such infraction is not accomplished. One point will be subtracted from team total.
    • Ex. Team 1 has 30 points. They throw first puck on the playing surface to score one point. Team 1 now has 31 points. The next 2 pucks must be thrown, touching the top of the playing surface, and falling off. If team 1 throws one of the next two pucks for a points(s), that number will be subtracted from team 1's total.
  • Winning the Game
    • Scores 31 points exactly.
    • Score a Yach-a-Pooh.
    • Win in Sudden death.
    • Sudden-Death
      • Sudden Death occurs when both teams tie at 31 points or back-to-back Yach-a-pooh's have been thrown.
      • Thus there will be a throw-off
      • Team with the most points the round before will throw first.
      • Both sides will throw 3 discs or 6 disc per team will be thrown.
        • Ex. Team 1 throws 3 discs scoring 7 points. Team 2 throws 3 disc scoring 8 points. Now Team 2 throws first and scores 5 points, totaling 13 points. Team 1 now throws 3 discs and scores 9 points totaling 16 points, thus winning the game.
    • Yach-a-Pooh
      • Yach-a-Pooh occurs if a team throws all three discs in each of the scoring holes, in no particular order. (One puck in the 2-hole, one puck in the 4-hole and one puck in the 6 hole).
      • If a Yach-a-Pooh if thrown, all scoring is stopped and opposing team has chance to tie and send the game into sudden death by thrown another Yach-a-Pooh.
      • If this happens, the game is sent into sudden death immediately, and sudden death rules apply according.
