Reiki is a non
invasive natural healing method that uses the hands of a healer to channel
energy to another person. It has been practiced for thousands of years.
The word Reiki means Universal Life Energy. The word consists of two parts, Rei
describes the universal, boundless aspect of this energy while Ki is the life
force energy which flows through all living beings. The term "healing"
refers to the balancing of energy in ones body to heal itself.
Reiki has been with us for thousands of years. It was re-introduced to us in the
1800’s by Dr. Mikao Usui who passed on this wonderful gift. The system of
Reiki Healing is probably the most simple and natural method of healing known.
Reiki is a holistic (wholeness of body) form of healing which means that it will
heal on a mental, physical, spiritual and emotional level. The energy will go to
the area where it is most needed first.
Reiki has been found to have a calming effect on the body.
Reiki can restore balance to the body.
Reiki supports the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
Reiki complements all types of orthodox and complementary/alternative types of treatment. Reiki can be given to any person. It is not associated with a particular religion. Reiki is open to all people.
