Chapter 4: The Amityville Horror

"Come on Dave!" Sarah shouted from Video King's entrance. Dave was the last one to get out of the car. Sarah always waited for him since the others didn't.

"Oh Scott look at this," Clint said as he shoved the movie into his brother's face. Scott took the movie from his hands and read the title.

"Ghost? What's that about?" Scott asked as he turned the movie over so he could read the back. Clint shrugged.

"I don't know, but look it's got a picture of a naked lady on the front!" Scott swung at his brother but missed.

"Your such a hornball. Now go put it back. We're here to get The Amityville Horror," Scott ordered as he threw the movie at Clint.

"Bob do you have a quarter?" Sarah asked. Bob stuck his hands in his pants in search for loose change.

"Nope, sorry."

"Here Sar," Dave said as he flung two quarters at her.

"What are you going to get?" Bob asked as he watched her place both quarters into the machine.

"I'm going to get one of these Hanson stickers," Sarah replied with a grin. Bob made a disgusted face.

"What do you see in them? Ugh their nasty!" Sarah smacked him in the back of the head.

"Their not nasty! Taylor is very hot and I'm going to marry him for your information Mr. Bob Moffatt!" Sarah informed him.

"Come on guys, I've got the movie," Scott said as he passed them. Sarah grabbed her stickers and followed her friends to their car.

"We've got popcorn, candy, soda, and the movie. What kind of soda do you want?" Dave asked Sarah who had half her body in their cupboard.

"Pepsi," she answered.

"Hey Scott, Bob, and Clint you guys want Pepsi?" Dave yelled.

"Yeah!" they called from the basement. Dave threw everything on a wooden board and carried it to the basement with Sarah right behind him. Somewhere on their way down the stairs Sarah slipped by Dave. Scott and Clint were sitting on the couch and Bob was sitting on the floor in front of them.

"Okay guys listen up!" Sarah said while laughing and standing on the sofa. Scott, Clint, and Bob looked up at her and Dave listened as he put the food on the table near the TV.

"The bean bag chair is mine, so Bob get up. And I get first dips on the sour patch kiDDSS" Sarah tried to finish as Scott and Clint pulled her down on the couch and began beating her with pillows. Bob jumped up and grabbed a pillow. And Dave soon found himself joining in on the fun.

"Okay....OKAY!" Sarah shrieked from somewhere underneath the boys. When they finally got off her, she laid there for a minute. It was actually a funny sight. Her shirt was twisted, her hair flung everywhere, she had one sock on, her head on Scott's lap, her legs on Clint's lap and Bob sitting on her abdomen.

"Shall we start the movie?" Bob suggested with a grin.

About an hour later the five teenagers were indulged in the horror movie. Scott and Bob were on the couch eating popcorn, Dave was in a chair next to the couch, and Clint and Sarah were in the two bean bag chairs on the other side of the couch.

"George NO!!!" the mother from the movie cried to her husband. That's when Sarah got up and jumped onto the couch with Scott. He pulled her close to him and put the blanket over her legs As soon as she felt Scott put his arm around her she was content again. Scott always made her feel safe when she was scared or sad. She always considered him the older brother she never had and she loved him very much. She loved them all very much. Sarah didn't have any younger siblings and her parents worked during the day and most of the time late into the night. That's why she spent so much time at the Moffatt house hold. Within the 4 years she had known them she became family, and she loved the feeling.
