They could hear the concert ending and Gina and Beth stood up to keep people from going in to the room. First their friends came back. “Ok, so what was up with that?” Both of them shrugged. “Who knows, we haven’t found out because Sarah’s been in that room with her for the whole time.” All of the other girls went into the room with food to get something to eat. “Hey Mercedes!” “Yeah?” “Where’s Kendall?” “I don’t know.” Gina looked the other way after hearing more footsteps. Coming down was Kendall and Lance in some serious conversation. Both were frowning, and than smiling. Lance came up to the two girls. “What happened?” Both of them shrugged once again. “Sarah’s been in there the whole time so we haven’t heard a thing.” Lance just looked behind him and Justin was coming down with Joey talking quietly mostly about how the media and the fans are going to take this. They looked up at the girls. “What happened?” They sighed loudly, “we don’t know. Sarah has been in there the whole time with her and we haven’t heard anything.” They just quietly nodded and walked on going to get ready to get in to the bus. They sat back down. About 10 minutes later JC and Chris came down together. JC looked extremely upset, angry, and heartbroken all at once. Chris was trying to comfort him the girls noticed. They both stopped at the door. “Please get out of the way.” JC demanded ready to break down the door. “Calm JC.” Gina and Beth stood up. “I’m sorry but both of them . . .” they didn’t get to finish JC grabbed, turned, and started yanking on the locked door handle. “Cassandra, we have to talk, let me in!”
Both of them winced when they heard JC at the door. Sarah stood up, it’s time you told him.” Sarah started to walk out, “wait!” “What?” “Please stay here while I tell him.” “Cassandra, it would be better if you did it alone.” “No!” “Cass, I will be waiting outside for you.” Cass inhaled, “ok, could you please call Micky for me and let her know that I’ll talk to her later.” “Yes.” Cassandra grabbed her purse and grabbed an address book out of it and threw it to Sarah. “It’s under the M’s. I just have it Micky. You’ll recognize the area code.” Sarah nodded and unlocked the door and opened it. JC stepped back and Sarah shut the door. She looked him in the eye and looked away. JC had a look of fear and grabbed Sarah’s elbow. “Sarah? Does she still love me?” Sarah looked at him, “yes, do you love her?” “Of course,” “then when you go in there please let her speak.” She walked into the room next to them and saw a phone on the wall and a chair nearby. She pulled it up and opened the book. She quickly dialed the phone and it kept ringing.
They all lay in their rooms. Ike got his own this time and he just stared at the ceiling. He wondered if Zac’s idea would work. When they went back to Tulsa in 2 days they would put their plan into action. Zac thought it up after writing part of the song. Isaac in the morning would go and talk saying he was going to go get some breakfast. He turned over and fiddled with his necklace. His eyelids closed and he eased into a light sleep.
Sarah woke up and forgot where she was for a minute. That’s when she noticed she was back in her hotel room. And Kendall was sleeping right next to her. She wondered how she got here and than remembered. After the concert in the bus Nsync drove them back to the hotel on their way to the next venue and she was so tired that she forgot there for a moment. She yawned and sat up. Today there were leaving at around 7 that night. She got out of bed and quickly brushed her teeth and hopped into the shower. She took her time in the shower. She thought about Isaac, and what she should do. She wanted him back, badly. But knew he was with Micky and that she didn’t want to interfere. She reasoned to herself that if he wanted her that he would come to her. She finished the shower and got out. She walked out, grabbed her clothes, and quickly changed now that Kendall was sleeping. She was hungry and was going to grab a juice because they were going to go out to eat together. She grabbed $5 and walked out of the door. Kendall woke up wearily and brushed her teeth after Sarah left. Kendall figured Sarah went to go get something to eat. “I’ll join her in a few minutes.” Kendall said aloud.
Ike quickly got ready. He walked out and saw his family there with the luggage. “Um, what are you doing?” “We decided to leave today. There’s nothing we can’t do at home and your mother with the kids want to go back.” “Oh, well, I was going to get something to eat.” “Hey Ike?” Their father asked piling the luggage on top and next to each other. “Would you take Avery and Mac with you?” Ike mentally thought death thoughts about this father. “Do I have too?” His father gave him the ‘don’t make me angry’ look and after that last night he figured he better. “Ok.” Avery, Mac, and Jess bounded out of the room. “Hey Ike!” “Ave, Mac, come with me. We’re going to get something to eat.” Jess helped with some of the stuff along with Taylor who finally came out ready to get going. Their father handed him $20 and he shoved it in his pocket and held Mac’s hand and Avery was in front of him. Going down the elevator Ike thought how this ruined everything and now he was going to have to rely on Zac’s song plan. He hoped that it worked because he was desperate.
They walked out of the elevator and headed towards the food court area. Avery quickly ran ahead to decided what she wanted to eat. Isaac let go of Mac’s hand and scanned the contents. “Mac? What do you want to eat?” “Ice cream!” “Not in the morning.” “Ok, chocolate cake.” Ike sighed loudly. “No, this is breakfast. What do you want?” “Ice cream?” He asked pushing it. “What about fruit?” “Ok.” “Avery, what do you want?” Avery pointed to the same sliced fruit. “That also.” Ike figured he’d get one too. “What do you guys want to drink?” Avery picked out milk. Mac looked at him, “Pepsi!” Ike shook his head and ordered. “I’ll have three fruit salads, two milks, and a water.” He paid for it, grabbed some silverware. They went over to a booth. His sister and brother sat next to each other and he sat by himself. He sank down in the seat. A couple was in front of him and he didn’t know who was in the booth behind him. Isaac started to eat thinking how this ruined everything. Maybe it was better. Maybe in Tulsa he should see what’s up with him and Micky. And then from that decide. But he realized something else was causing a problem. He had started to like Kendall.
Sarah leaned against the booth and sighed. She had a splitting headache remembering the night before. Micky was crying that her cousin picked her over her cousin which wasn’t true, Cass in tears, JC confused and hurt, and out of their 3 busses JC separated himself from the rest of the group and one of the managers stayed in theirs. Then Cass left which tons of girls following her and wondering why she turned him down. She laid her head down in her folded arms she wanted to cry but couldn’t. She stayed there for about ten minutes just thinking of the night from hell. She heard footsteps and than a crack of the stiff vinyl. She looked up and saw Kendall sitting there. “Hey Sarah!” “Hey,” she said real monotone and took a sip of her Caffe Mocha. “Guess what Sarah?” “What?” She said trying to sound interesting for her friend. “Lance asked me to do something with him if they come to Tulsa to perform!” “You are so lying.” “No! And than Justin asked Mercedes to do something too!” Sarah smiled happy for her friends. “That’s awesome!” She said. “Sarah? You are bummed, what’s up?” “Nothing,” she said lying back against the back of the booth. “Whatever, what’s on your mind?” “You know what I’m thinking about” Sarah said ready to cry. “Sarah, don’t worry, I’m sure Ike and Micky will break things off soon and . . .”
Ike leaned back farther to hear this conversation. He couldn’t miss Sarah’s voice for anything. “Ike?” “Yes Ave?” He said rather impatiently. “It’s rude to eavesdrop.” Ike sighed, “its not when the people are talking about you!” He hissed hoping that Sarah didn’t hear Ave use his name. She didn’t because she continued to go on. Ike’s smiled widened even bigger thinking that this was going to be a lot easier then he though. And he quickly put away thoughts of Kendall. Thoughts of Micky also. He was going to end this relationship, and end it right away.
