Sarah now was on the edge of her chair. “The next song we would like to bring some of you up on stage. Since this is the second to the last song” This rose the screams and thousands of hands flew up in the air. “Each of us will choose two girls.” JC announced. Lance spoke up. “To make it fair we will choose some up in the back rows too.” Someone came up on the stage pulling a barrel you can turn that was filled with ticket stubs from the girls that were here at the concert. “These are the sections in the 100’s & 200’s. We are picking five of these.” The crowd went dead silent and Joey walked over first, “section 222 row 6 seat 8.” A shrill scream rose from that area and the guys grinned. Justin went next along with JC, Chris, and Lance. They finished that and while those girls were being led down they 5 were picking girls on the floor. Chris chose someone towards the back, JC chose Cass, Lance chose Kendall, Justin looked at Sarah and she shook her head so he grabbed a younger teenager in the third row, Joey picked someone in the middle. All the girls were now up on stage and they started the song. After the ending of “God Must Of Spent A Little More Time On You” the girls started to be ushered off the stage. JC grabbed Cass’s hand before she could get down. She looked at him giving him a “what are you doing?” look. After the other girls got down off the stage they turned around and watched what was going to happen. That’s when everyone was in shock. JC got down on one knee and proposed to her. Cass’s eyes widened to the size of walnuts if not bigger and she looked around and scanned the audience. “Well, will you?” JC asked. That’s when Mercedes and Laura shouted, “YES!” And the rest of the crowd joined shouting ‘yes’ or ‘say yes’. Cassandra just grinned and than stopped. She looked at everyone and ran off the stage leaving the crowd, her friends, the group, and especially JC stunned and confused. JC was going to run after her before Lance grabbed his shirt. “No, let her go.” And looked at the girls in the audience. They got the hint and Sarah, Gina, and Beth went to go after her while the others stayed there to make it look like nothing all that traumatic although the damage has already been done.
Ike hit the breaks and pulled over. He was going to yell but stopped. He just started laughing. So did Taylor and that woke Zac up from his little peaceful sleep. “What’s so funny?” He asked rubbing his eyes. “Hey Zac, welcome to Ohio.” He looked at them. “I don’t get it.” They started laughing even harder and Taylor was gripping the dashboard trying to inhale oxygen. “You know what kind of trouble we are going to be in when we get back to the hotel?” Zac said looking around. “I know! That’s what is so funny!” Zac couldn’t figure out his brother’s sense of warped logic. “And you are ok with this?” Both of them started laughing harder. Zac had to admit it was funny that they drove all the way to Ohio. Taylor composed himself very little and sat up. “Ok, we have to get back to the hotel.” That’s when their beepers went off. “Uh oh.” Was all Taylor managed before Zac started laughing and soon it became contagious.
“Cassandra, its Sarah, let me in.” “NO!” She yelled. She had locked herself in one of the open dressing rooms. “Come on, I just want to talk to you!” “Leave me alone you guys. I already hurt and humiliated JC. I don’t need anymore of a guilt trip Ok?” Gina and Beth knocked on the door. “No, no one is humiliated. That was a big thing and you weren’t ready for it. That is perfectly understandable.” “No it’s not, I hurt him. I could tell by the look on his face.” Sarah turned the knob and it was still locked. “Cass, I confided in you. Please let me and let’s just talk for a minute.” There was silence and then a little click. Sarah left the other two in the hall to ward off anyone that might want to bombard their little girl chat session. Sarah locked it again and found Cass huddled up with tissues on the couch crying her eyes out. She sat across from her. “I understand why you . . .” “No . . . no you don’t understand. I can’t marry JC.” Sarah was slightly taken aback. “You guys are young but . . .” “Shut up Sarah, that’s not the reason why.” “Than why?” Cass just sat there letting the silent tears fall from her face. “I’m pregnant.” Sarah grinned, “that’s wonderful!” “No it’s not.” “Of course it is! JC is going to freak!” “It’s not his.” That shut Sarah up immediately.
