Chapter Nine -- I Will Love You More Than That
"Yea... it's Miguel Stewart... you know after he got in all those crap, he got dumped by that model and he lost his popularity, so he starts to bug Lori again." Melissa says.
After hearing that, Nick is quiet for the rest of the dinner time. "What if Lori goes back to Miguel?" He thinks to himself.
~ 5 days later ~
Lori and Melissa are sitting in the front row. They enjoy the concert a lot.
"Hello everyone... thanks for coming tonight." Nick says onstage. "The following song is my favorite song from our album, especially at this very moment because I want to dedicate this song to this very special person... you know who you are... hope everyone will like this, especially her... MORE THAN THAT..."

Nick turns to Lori's direction and sings...

Lori looks into Nick's eyes. He really means it... But still, Lori is very confuse and dont' know what she should do next.
~ 12:51 am ~
Everybody went over to Nick's house for a sleep over. Lori is standing on the deck, thinking to herself. Then she feels someone putting a jacket over her shoulders. Lori turns around and sees Nick.
"Hey... you didn't sleep yet?" Nick asks.
"Neither do you..." Lori smiles. "I'm enjoying my time. Your house is so nice, look, it's facing the ocean right here.... what a relaxing place."
"Lori... I wonder what you think about the concert tonight?" Nick asks.
"It was great! You guys did a really good job."
"Do you like the More Than That performance?" Nick's face blushes.
Lori knows exactly what Nick means by that. "It was good... that is also my favorite song."
"We'll have a party here tomorrow night... I hope you'll have a great time..." Nick changes the subject as he realizes Lori didn't quite answers his question.
"I know I will... anyways... I think it's time to go to bed now... Nite Nick." Lori says.
"Lori...!" Nick wants to tell her how he feels for her.
"Yes?" Lori turns around.
"hmm... nothing... good night." Nick says.
"Nite..." Lori smiles and goes upstairs.
~ Next day -- 7:18 pm ~
The door bell rings.
"I got it!" Nick says. He opens the door, it is his family.
"Hi son..." Jane Carter says.
"Hi mom!" Nick gives Jane a hug, along with Bob, Aaron, BJ, Leslie and Angel. Then Nick realizes a beautiful girl with them... "this is..."
"Oh..." Jane says. "Her name is Linda." She leans over and whispers to Nick "Son... a pretty girl and nice girl... you get the idea?"
"mom..." Nick says.
"Just see how it goes..." Jane tabs Nick's shoulder.
