Chapter Two -- True to Your Heart
"That's good... doesn't need to worry about the travelling thing..." Nick said.
"You're pretty experienced with that huh?" Brian teases Nick.
"Long distance relationships just never work for me." Nick sighs.
"Anyways guys... rehersals will be starting next week... so... hope we'll all work well together." Kevin said.
~ 2:01 pm ~
"Hey Lori! I'm over here." Miguel is standing right next to his car.
"Hey Miguel! You know we're working together right?" Lori asked.
"Yes sweetie..."
"And we're working with the Backstreet Boys." Lori said happily.
"I guess u're very happy huh?" Miguel asked, feeling a little jealous.
"Of course, they're real talented people." Lori answered.
~ Rehersal #1 -- 8:58 am ~
"Good morning everyone!" Lori said as she enters with Miguel.
"I'm Miguel Stewart..." Miguel shakes hands with the Backstreet Boys and the rest of the band. "Nice to meet you all."
"This is the first time we meet, well, Miguel, we might have more time to work together when you're under our record company. We're looking forward to it." Howie laughs.
They start the rehersal, although it is the first time, they seemed to work together pretty well.
~ During the break ~
"The band turns out better than I thought!" AJ exclaimed.
"Yea... they work together well." Kevin said.
"I think Lori are really good on the drums." Nick said. "She goes with the songs well, excellent handling."
"Probably coz she's real familiar with our songs." Brian said.
"Too bad she has a boyfriend, she's pretty cute." AJ said.
"Yea... that's true..." Nick said as he looks at Lori, she's entering the room with Miguel. Miguel walks back out from the room. While Lori is waiting for him, Nick goes up to her.
"Hey Lori."
"Hi Nick, wassup?"
"Just wanna tell you that you played the drums really well just now." Nick said.
"Thanks! I still can't believe I'm working with you guys. I hope I won't screw you guys up." Lori said.
"You won't, all of us think that you did a really good job." Nick said.
"Thanks Nick."
"Lori..." Miguel said as he walks back. "Wassup Nick?" He said as he stares at Nick.
"Oh... just telling Lori she did a good job on the drums... and you too Miguel, you did a great job just now too." Nick looks over to the other Backstreet Boys. "Well, I guess it's time to start again, I'll see you guys over there then." On the way back, Nick stares a quick glance at Lori and Miguel, then he returned to the other Boys.
On the other hand, Lori could feel that Miguel is holding onto her hand so tight that it kinda hurts.
"Miguel, anything wrong?" she asked.
"No... nothing.. I'm okay." He said, but he's still holding onto Lori's hand as tight as it was.
First day of rehersal is finally over. The guys get on their buses, ready to go home. Nick throws himself to a chair, feeling exhausted. He is thinking, and all of a sudden Brian tabs on his shoulder.
"Hey Nick, anything wrong? or you're just tired..." Brian asked.
