Chapter Five - In-Replacable
Nick slowly walks back to the set.
"Nick, we have to make up all the scenes for you, maybe we gotta work til really late tonight." Michael said, tapping on Nick's shoulder.
"Alright, Taylor, you ready for the kissing scene now?" Michael asks.
"Sure I am." Taylor said.
"Hold on..." Nick said as everybody look at him. "I'm not gonnna do the kissing scene with her."
"Nick, but you did it in the video..." Michael said.
"That's different, that's Lori in the video..." Nick said, staring at Taylor.
"Excuse me dear... what's the difference between me and her, what's that she has and I don't?" Taylor asks.
"So many things that I can't even count." Nick looks away.
"Nick Carter, don't give me this attitude now... you're gonna be mine anyways." Taylor said.
They end up doing the video without the kissing scene. The next day, the Boys are scheduled to go to Jive Records to view the edited video for "Too Much Love."
After they watched it, Nick pulls Michael aside for a private talk.
"Michael, do you mind giving me a tape for the original video with Lori in it, I would like to have a copy of that." Nick asks.
"Alright... no prob Nick... but honestly, why you caring about Lori so much?" Michael asks.
"I'm not sure, maybe as I've told her, she might be a really special one..." Nick winks and walks away.
After Nick gets a copy of the original tape, Nick shows up at Lori's house. He rings the door bell and Laney answers the door.
"Oh! Nick? Hey..." Laney said, she never expects Nick will show up at their house.
"Hey Laney, hmm, is Lori there?" Nick asks.
"Oh, she's not home yet. She's in the lab, maybe you can look for her there." Laney said and she shows NIck the directions to get to the lab.
IN THE LAB - 5:29 PM
Lori is working in the lab when she hears her friend screaming out in the hallway. Her friends walk into the lab, their voices shaking.
"Oh my god... Lori... hmm, look who's outside..."
Lori walks out of the lab and sees Nick standing there.
"I wonder who he's looking for..." one of Lori's friends said, none of them knew about Lori was once in a Backstreet Boys video.
"Hey Lori..." Nick said.
"Hi Nick... wow... what a surprise visit..." Lori said when her friends look at them in shock.
"Hmm... you have time, maybe we can talk?" Nick asks.
"Yea... give me a minute and I'll be done with the lab stuff..." Lori said.
They walk to a bench outside the lab building and sit down.
"So... how have you been Lori?" Nick asks.
"I'm doing fine... u?"
"Same here... Lori... I'm really sorry about the video, I didn't know Taylor Vonde would do that..."
"That's okay Nick... it's not your fault." Lori smiles.
"Here... it's for you." Nick hands Lori a tape.
"What is this?" Lori asks.
"A tape of the original video that we did." Nick smiles.
"Thanks Nick, it's really sweet of you."
"So, you wanna have dinner together?" Nick asks.
"Sure."
