Chapter Three -- What's It Gonna Be
SUNDAY -- 1:30 PM -- CENTRAL PARK, OUTSIDE THE CEREMONY HALL
Lori is wearing a white tank top, with a long silvery skirt. People who walk pass her are all looking at her, she looks really pretty in her outfit. She spots where Jeffen and Amanda are and walk towards them.
"Congratulations!" Lori shakes hand with Jeffen.
"Thank you." He said nicely. He feels bad cheating on Lori.
"DOn't you need to congratulate me too?" Amanda asks coldly.
"Of course I need to congratulate you..." Lori shakes Amanda's hand.
"Thanks." Amanda says coldly. She looks at Lori's hand and didn't see her wearing a ring. "So where's your boyfriend?" Amanda disses, she assumes Lori don't have a boyfriend.
ON THE OTHER HAND
Nick is driving his blue Mercedes CL500 convertable. BJ and Aaron are with him. They drive pass the Central Park.
"Pull over... pull over Nick!" BJ said.
Nick pulls over. "What's wrong BJ! It's not time to meet Lori yet..." He says.
"It's Lori over there... what is she doing?" BJ said.
"Where?" Nick and Aaron ask.
"The one in white tank top and silvery dress over there..." BJ answers.
Without saying a word, Nick takes his car key and gets out of the car.
BACK TO LORI
Lori didn't answer Amanda's question.
"Oh I see... you don't have a boyfriend yet... are you that busy? don't you think you really need to have someone who cares for you?" Amanda shows an evil smile on her face while her friends laughs at Lori.
Jeffen tabs Amanda's shoulder lightly and shake his head.
"What?" Amanda says.
"Hey Lori, you ready to go now? What takes you so long baby..." A voice appears behind Lori.
Lori turns around and stands still. It's Nick from the Backstreet Boys. Before Lori can say anything, Nick continues, "the car is waiting ourside..."
Lori knows Nick is helping her out, so she puts her arm around Nick's and says, "Okay, I'm ready..." She smiles and says bye to Amanda and Jeffen.
As Lori and Nick walks away from the crowd, one of Amanda's bridemate says, "That's Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys! He's so cute in person... Amanda, your friend is so lucky!"
Lori walks towards Nick's car and sees BJ and Aaron. Before she says anything, Nick gives her back her cell phone, "Here you go and thanks for helping BJ."
"You're welcome... and thanks for helping me just now..." Lori said.
"Now you believe in what I said on the phone?" Nick said.
"I'm sorry that I don't believe you at first... it's just too strange for me to believe..." Lori blushes.
"That's k." Nick smiles.
BJ and Aaron looks at each other. Then BJ said, "Nick... Aaron and I wanna walk around... well, we'll tell mom to pick us up... why don't you give Lori a ride home?"
"Aight!" Nick said.
"Thanks." Lori said.
Just as Nick and Lori are there ready to get in the car, Amanda and her wedding party passes by. Amanda and most of her friends are staring at Nick and Lori. Instead of getting into the car, Lori didn't move, but she keeps her head down.
Nick sees this, after he thinks for a while, he pulls Lori close to him and holds her in his arms until Amanda and the others walk away.
"Thanks Nick. You help me once again." Lori said.
"I'm sorry... that's the only think I could think of just now... so I hold you..." Nick brushes his blonde hair with his hand.
"That's okay..." Lori smiles.
"Come on... let me get you home now..." Nick said.
