Chapter Two -- Believe
LATER THAT NIGHT
Lori has been busy for a several hours, finally she has time to take a break. She is about to call home and she can't find her cell phone.
"Man... I forgot that I gave my cell phone to BJ." Lori said to herself. Thus, she calls to her own cell phone.
<Hello?> Nick picks up the phone.
"Hmm... hi... I'm the owner of the phone you're using and..." Lori said.
<Oh... so you're Lori. This is BJ's brother.> He says.
"Oh... hi... nice talking to you. You are?" Lori asks.
<Nick Carter.> He answers.
"Nick Carter? And your sister's name is BJ... it's the same as the Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys. Well, nevermind, guys usually have no idea what I'm talking about." Lori laughs.
<I think I know what you are talking about because I AM Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys.> Nick said.
"You know what... you're one funny guy." Lori said, she doesn't believe what Nick said.
<You don't believe me?> He asks.
"Hey Nick, I'm sorry... I'm on call again, is there a time I can get my phone?" Lori said as she reads her pager.
<How bout this Sunday?>
"Okay... I'm free Sunday afternoon." She said.
<I'll see you on Sunday 4:00pm at the Central Park then Lori. And you'll know what I said it's true.> Nick says.
"Okay... whatever... bye!" They hang up.
NEXT MORNING -- SATURDAY
"Hey Lori... ready to go home now?" Lori's friend Suki asks, she lives with Lori.
"Yea... Suki." They start to walk towards the parking lot.
"So Lori. You sure you're going to Amanda's wedding tomorrow?" Suki asks.
"Why not?" Lori said.
"Lori... I truly don't understand what you have been thinking... I mean Jeffen was your boyfriend at that time and Amanda was your best friend. They got together and cheated on you. How can you go to their wedding? Did you see how Amanda dissed you last time you saw them together?" Suki said.
"Suki... I want to show them how good I am now, even though they did that to me... I'm still a very strong person." Lori smiles.
"You need to pick a real pretty outfit then... I'll help you when we get home." Suki smiles.
