Chapter Ten -- Memories
TWO WEEKS LATER
Lori and Suki are on the way to Jeffen and Amanda's house. Jim calls them as he said Jeffen and Amanda got into a big fight because of Lori. As they enter the house, they see Jim trying to separate Jeffen and Amanda.
"Hey guys... calm down... what's wrong?" Lori and Suki help to separate them.
"He wants to divorce me, just because of you bitch!" Amanda yells at Lori.
"How many times have I told you it's not because of Lori... I never say I wanna divorce you. I just say that we have to talk to work things out..." Jeffen explains.
"You LIAR! You just wanna divorce me." Amanda rushes towards Jeffen.
"Calm down Amanda!" Lori says, trying to stop Amanda.
"Get out of my way!!!" As Lori and Amanda struggles, Amanda pushes Lori. Lori loses her balance and fell off the stairs, she hits her head and fell unconsious on the floor.
Lori was brought to the ER whereas Nick rushes back to Florida after Suki contacts him.
"How's Lori?" Nick runs into her room.
"She didn't wake up yet..." Suki says with tears in her eyes. Jim then tells Nick about the whole story.
Nick stays overnight with Lori. He is too tired, he fells asleep while holding onto Lori's hand. Suki fells asleep on the couch.
The next morning Lori wakes up, she is having a big headache. Nick sense Lori's movement and wakes up.
"Lori! You feeling well? thanks GOD you wake up baby..." Nick says anxiously.
"Oh my god! Nick Carter? But how did you know my name? Why am I in the hospital?" Lori asks.
"What are you talking about Lori? Why wouldn't I know your name, I'm your boyfriend..." Nick says.
"Wow! I wish... but it's very nice of you Nick. What exactly happen Suki?" Lori asks.
"Lori???" Nick and Suki say.
Later, the doctor does a check up for Lori.
"What happen to her Doctor?" Nick and Suki asks.
"We suspected taht she had lost part of her memory since she hit her head. It might be a short-term memory lost, or it could be permanent. We still have to do in-depth check up with her... we're sorry." The doctor says.
Nick and Suki enter the room and explain everything to Lori.
"I can't remember... I can't..." Lori starts to cry.
"Lori... don't be scared... I'm here.. baby it's okay..." Nick leans forward and is about to kiss Lori.
"No!" Lori pushes Nick away. Lori looks at Lori sadly... "I'm sorry Nick... I can't remember anything..." she crys.
6 MONTHS LATER
Nick was with Lori all the time until 3 months ago. But still Lori cannot remember anything about them. Nick then left for the tour.
Lori is sitting home with Suki, watching a Backstreet Boys live interview.
<Our boys are back in town! Okay we have a question for you Nick, what's the first thing you're gonna do when you go home tonight?> The reporter asks.
<I'm gonna go see my girlfriend... because of an unfortunate accident, she lost part of her memories and don't remember things between us. But it's okay, I just want her to know that I'll love her and wait for her no matter what...> Nick says.
<Alright! Best wishes to Nick's girl and good luck on the home-coming concert tonight guys!> The reporter says.
<Thanks!> The Backstreet Boys says.
"Suki... can we go out for a walk?" Lori asks.
"Sure Lori."
Suki brought Lori to Central Park. Just as they walk pass a wedding party. Lori has a familiar feeling. Different scenes of Nick and herself starts to appear in her head.
"Ah! My head hurts..." Loir said with her hands on her head.
"Lori!!!" Suki screamed.
